Ok here is the story behind the 1951 international L120 3/4 ton long bed . a freind of my dads had this truck in there family since 1952 0r 53 . last taged the truck in 1962 then parked it and then moved it one more time in 1975 that was the last time it was drivin. and let it sit out side then let it sit untill
just this past july. The city was pesturing him to move it or get tickets
for storing it in the driveway .. he couldnt move it so we told him we can move it and store it out our place of work . he said if you can pick it up its yours .. :mm: its all orignal . 53'000 miles its a real hi hp motor 90hp @ 3600 rpm's :lol::lol: i'm thinking stump puller . dad wan't to see it the motor will run if it dose run will keep it orignal . if the motors junk or bad its big block blower time ... :metal:: will see got the gas tank cleaned and sealed ant the starter and gen is being rebuilt now will see what happens :chevy:

Im thinking im needing more room . i still need to do some more cleaning on the moter area . and some por on part of the cab floor .
this truck has screws holding all the dash area in and other stuff
.will see where it goes . had to pput tires on the front to get it a roller .
they charged me 35.00 per tire the guy freaked when he saw the rims were split rims.:waah: I'm not going to run them .but you can't just order them thru jegs and they have 16x6x7.25 rims ill have to have a set made

Thanks Man i just wish they could have taken a little better care of it all the glass was shot out and i think this might be the first time in 30 plus years its finally in a garage . but at least saved it from the crusher :chevy:

spent a little time in the shop this weekend . put new ubolts on the lower a frames and cleaned on the frame and also spent time on the 51 also ..
ill be glade to get the 51 running so i can get it moving so i can have more room :metal: the fun was getting the ubolts closed up to fit the space uses the vise and sqeezed a little at a time :metal::chevy:

couple of the 51 :truck: l pressured washed the moter with degreaser
and cleaned the valve cover and the oil canester . new plugs and wires
the top of the mover looked really for sitting for 50 plus years :metal:

Ill have to do a little touch up in the morning dang bugs started in on
around 11:30 so i need to finish it in the morning lucky its under aside of the frame .. ill start on the rear enf preing it for paint and running new brake lines and fuel tomarrow after the paint drys complete

got started on cleaning the rear end
its a 1970 12 bolt 3896838 n with gm 63 marking
on the outer housing oh the joy of cleaning 43 years of grease tar and dirt from the housing its on there thick ...

last couple of pics is from later 4 plus hours from craping sanding and cleaning :waah::chevy:
last couple is the coupe starting to look like its coming together
untill the last pic
got to have the rear of the frame exstended and kicked up a little for the axels and for the rear body mounts i didnt want the frame bobbed but the guy i bought it knew i was building an hi boy and bobbed the rails for me anyway. now ive got to have them exstended for the mounts :uhmk::chevy:

cleaned and sprayed the rear frame tire braces and used bed liner on the parts will see how well it last :smoke:

adding a little color before seam sealing the joints :ito:
tryed to get all the seams sealed but srewed up and have to resand and paint the lower driver door seam again . trying to rush it :banghead::m6::josh:

couple of pics of the little stuff i did today not much seam sealed a little on the cab and started putting the motor mounts and the calipers on the truck ill put on the lower trailing arms on sunday if i don't have to work :waah:

slowly starting the build up of the frame . trying to find a good motor head combo wanting to stroke the350 block to a 383 but still thinking B B but not sure whick will be easyer to build with at least 500 hp motor ..:lol::chevy:

slowly starting to put it to gether one part at a time .. mounted the springs on the trailing arms the rearends at the shop putting a true locker in with 3.73 gears . also mouted the stearing up ill mount the box tomarrow and
get the rear under it this week we hope :chevy::metal:
