I can't wait to see how this turns out. I'm pretty sure one of my friend uses the eurethane paint. It's reasonably priced too. $10k or more is pretty common on these trucks for nice paint jobs.

I can't wait to see how it turns out either, hopefully will be spraying by May. The price of the system was definitely a selling point for me. I have about $400 in materials right now including a gallon of urethane primer, sealer, basecoat, clear and all the reducers needed.

Couple of pics from yesterday, cleaned up my air cleaner and put it on the motor. Also finished modifying my exhaust. Now I just have to repaint it.

Can you tell us more about your shock relocators in the front? Where did you get them and about what do they cost? Looking good by the way.

Thanks Mike, it sucked to redo it but it is worth it in the end. I'm happier with that big block a whole lot more.

Thanks, I got them from Performance Online. They were $46.00. You will have to run a longer shock with it, which is what I wanted to do. I think I had to run a 2" longer shock.

It's a Vintage Air Gen IV Kit. Bought it now so I can get it mocked up and the firewall smoothed before I paint the Cab.

So... You're one of those types that plans stuff and you only do things once?

Your thread title belies that. :)

Lol that's not me at all, I usually buy things wasting money only to change my mind just like the big block decision in which I had to redo my exhaust. But that made me learn a lesson so I figured get the a/c now before I talked myself out of it and painted the cab and then tried to install it. Something about cutting wholes in my dash after it was painted made me cringe.

Bought another Christmas present for myself  Found this Triplus Cowl hood on Craigslist. Went and looked at it today and it is brand new in the box and in perfect shape. Not a single dent, ding or anything. corners are perfect too. Got it for $400 so I def saved myself some cash over ordering one and having it shipped.

Mike you will probably get to the install before me lol, so I will have to rely on you taking alot of pics. Buying the A/C kit was something I really wrestled with but I want to be able to really enjoy driving this truck when it's done.

Thanks, bodywork is coming along very slowly. Still have to finish welding up the cab and also skinning the doors. Need to smooth my firewall too. Then I'll be ready to bodywork and paint cab. My fenders need to be patch in the rear corners and well the only good piece on my bed is the front panel so I'll be going with a new bed. Don't have the time or patience to try to fix all the rust.
