I have a few, maybe we could work a deal on something.

Dan,
All kidding aside... the truck looked great today!
After you lick your wounds the trucks gonna be killer.
I should have washed the truck and trailer for pictures.
There's always next time! Get that thing painted over turkey day break. I'll be expecting some more pics this weekend.

Hey Elliot, that sure is a nice start to your project. Love where you're going with it. I dig the steering wheel too. Where did you find that at? Keep the pics coming of the build. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mike... I appreciate that... The Steering Wheel is from a company out of Oregon call Con2r... They are great people to work with...

Progress forward for a couple of months will be fairly slow due to the lack of funds...

Thanks Shawn... trying to come up with a light blue that I really thought I would like for long term was more difficult than I thought but I think we nailed it...

Well not alot has gotten done since it came home From Carlson's Hotrods... I am test fitting the Brake Booster, Steering column to the Steering Gear, Installed the door latches so I can see how much work I have ahead of me for that "perfect" fit...

My Helper had surgery last week so trying to move the truck around in the garage by myself is a challenge and I have to move it out and put it back Every time I want to work on it...

Hopefully Saturday I can get some work done on it...

Re: Project "Class Act"

Well not much has happened since I got the truck back from Chris Carlson's Hot Rods... My Wife had surgery the first of December so I have been doing most all of the work for the business plus taking care of cooking, cleaning and the basic House duties... Plus it has just been colder than all get out and not having "heat" in the garage is makes in uncomfortable to work in it...

I have managed to get a little bit of the trim holes started... I am going to the Starbird-Devlin Car Show tonight and with the temps tomorrow to be in the high 50's Tomorrow and Sunday I am hoping to be able to get alot done on her this weekend...

I have actually retained who I am going to use to build the engine for the truck... Patterson Racing in Augusta, Ks. is going to do my little 327 for me... I have known Alan Patterson for the better part of 30 plus years.. He has just recently (in the last 10 years) started building Street Motors... Alan is about the best in the Midwest with Mouse motors so I am stoked that he has agreed to build this for me... Once the motor is built it will be Dyno'd and dialed in with the 3 deuces to make the most power and fuel efficiency as possible... He will also give me the specs for the Turbo 400 that I am putting behind it...

Patterson is not going to be a inexpensive venture... I am planning to have somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-7000.00 in this motor when done... I will know exactly once I get the engine to him for cleanup, tear down, inspection, magna fluxing and the parts list made...

Alan is one of those guys that is not a personable person but between him and Todd ( his son) they are really talented...

well that is the lame update for now...

See ya tonight Lo Elco...

Re: Project "Class Act"

I recall Patterson from my drag racing days. Well respected competitor. He's a good choice for squeezing the most out of a little skinny block. Should be a nice piece when you're through. Can't beat a dyno for tuning. Look forward to the updates.

Re: Project "Class Act"

Yeah Patterson is pretty famous for his talents. I've even seen write ups in national magazines about him. You're going to have an incredible motor when he's done.

Was planning on Starbirds/Devlin on Saturday but the weather is going to be way too nice for me to have any fun. I'm bogged down in moving/updating houses.

Can't wait to hear this motor roar Dan!

YAY a update! .... well ok sort of a update...lol
glad your getting it all planned out, going to a nice truck when finished... and should flat move on out with that motor.

Had to work tonight and tomorrow so going to the Starbirds/Devlin show Sunday.
Few people I know have rides in it. One is going for that magnificent 7 deal. Its a really bright green 69 camaro.
