My display area was getting a bit crowded so I decided to find something else to use. I found this one on ebay as a 2006 collector set. I'm just using the clear plastic protector as a dust cover.

I found the new silver JL blazer today at a couple different toys-r-us stores in Grand Rapids, MI. I also got a pair of 1972 GMC tow truck kits from a hobby store here, N scale size.

Does anyone have the Highway 61 Short Box Black 72 that was released in 2005. I've been looking all over for one and can't find one for sale anywhere.

I believe that is the one I have, but I slightly modified it.......I swapped grills with the 69 model so it would look closer to what my 70 was going to look like

I guess I'm just slow. I just noticed different wording on the Hot Wheels Custom 69 Treasure Hunt and Super Treasure Hunts. Is this significant? Is any one worth more? I know the Super is worth more.
1st pic is of a Super T-Hunt and a Regular T-Hunt.
2nd pic is 2 Regular Treasure Hunts.
3rd pic is a Super T-Hunt$.
4th pis is a Super Trea$ure Hunt$. (This one, the card looks darker in colors; but I think it's probably just the picture/lighting.)

I thought all the Supers were supposed to be designated with a $ sign. Maybe the Super T-Hunt in the 1st pic is "mis-carded"?

Re: Die-cast 67-72

The first one does appear to be misscarded. You are right about the supers having the $. WES

Anyone seen this rig out yet? I also wanted to know where it is that Treasure hunt cars are sold. I can't recall ever seeing them in stores, but I never really looked either. Do I have any chance at all of seeing treasure hunts on the shelf?

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Oh,oh; another 69 HW to look for.
Treasure Hunts are sold wherever any other Hot Wheels are sold; it's just that employees or friends of employees get them first. I saw my first Treasure Hunt a couple of weeks ago, on a store peg. I didn't buy it though, it wasn't any car that I collect.
I would say your chances are pretty slim to none on finding any on the shelf somewhere, unless you can bribe a stocker. ;)
The only place I know for sure to find them is on ebay.

This is the search I use on ebay specifically for the Treasure Hunts.
Toys & Hobbies> Diecast, Toy Vehicles> Cars, Trucks-Diecast> Hot Wheels> Contemporary (1990-Now)> Treasure Hunt>
Once I got to Treasure Hunts, I entered "custom 69". (be sure to use the ")

Well, I scored three '69 Custom T-hunts today. Ended up paying $11.00 each with shipping. I am sure they will be half that price in a couple months, but I was bored today and wanted to see if I could get a couple. 5 auctions from the same seller ended with one minute in between. Sure made for a frenzied ebay session. Now I just need to find a Super at a decent price.

I can see at least two that I need. The yellow HW with flames and the black Dub with flames. It seems much harder to find ones that come in multi-packs. Nice collection.

I don't have any pictures right now, but the hotwheels treasure hunt series this year has the custom 69 in it, and it looks very cool!! As far as models, that cheyenne and the open road camper and the racer's wedge are prolly the most expensive 67-72 models that I can think of.
