Re: my 98' Streetrod build
You nailed it! I was thinking that too. A black line w/a silver in the center,,or next to it. That would really tie it all together.
I need to research for local pin stripers. |

Re: my 98' Streetrod build
This thread has plenty of pics! Not any recent ones,,I'll give you that.
ALSO: Thanks for the comments fellers.I havent been on in a while. I kind of got busy w/another vehicle or two while the '98 is in the shop.Yes,its still there. Its all in primer now w/only minimal adjustments to be made. Im wanting to go w/a three stage gloss blue, instead of the 2 stage satin. I just dont like the flop in the blue I picked out. I have to decide cause its about time to jamb out the truck and reinstall the glass, then I'll haul it home and start plumbing/wiring it and get it fired up. I want to work out the bugs and drive it back to get the exterrior sprayed. http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...honepix017.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...honepix015.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...honepix018.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...honepix016.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...1/CIMG1660.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...1/CIMG1667.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...1/CIMG1666.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...1/CIMG1669.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...honepix014.jpg |

Man, you and phantom dually both come back on the same day! Life is good:lol: |
Re: my 98' Streetrod build
Glad to see some pics man! Nice ones at that. Glad to see you're still plugging away at it. I like the stretched hood.
Have you checked into the issues with no side mirrors in your area? I know around here it's a hit of miss subject. My uncle got pulled over in his 85 because of no mirrors. So he called around to other law enforcement agencies, along with the state. He got a mixed answer. Some said they are supposed to, some said they aren't, and some said they are supposed to be there, but they didn't enforce it. |
Re: my 98' Streetrod build
Truck is looking great.:metal:Just be sure and keep the pictures coming. I was going though a kinda withdrawl. Picked a color yet?

Ive been getting tickets for things like that since I was 18.I kind of expect it. I just say yes sir n no sir and be on my way,pay the ticket(non moving violation) and do my thing. It may sound like Im being a d1ck but Im a very safe driver so Im not endangering anyone or myself so I refuse to comply w/pointless original equipement laws. OK,Im off my soap box. :m5: |

Troy, I know you mentioned to me that you had some health concerns....so, how're you doin? Looks like your truck is heading towards a resolution. Not so my '69, but one of these days.....

Re: my 98' Streetrod build
Progress.
Down to the final prep. Color change: JSB was nothing like it looked from the photos. My painter and the PPG rep. found a sick 4ss blue that has almost no flop. http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...honepix003.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...honepix007.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...honepix013.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...honepix027.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...honepix026.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...honepix028.jpg This is the blue that is being sprayed. Also a 3 stage PPG. Base-Violet metallic 2nd stage-Blue tinted clear http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...1/b0b33186.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...1/f02bd01e.jpg W/the 3rd stage clear, finish looks like this. http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...honepix017.jpg |
