i love that you're using a trailblazer to tow your project since you're essentially melding one to your burban (envoy/trailblazer are close enough, right?). Keep up the good work!

Frame aligned, drives straight up onto the trailer. Yup, pretty happy!

My favorite part so far is the makeshift battery mount. lol

Looking good. Your project already moves under it's own power. You are ahead of about 85% of the projects in this section, including mine.

Really guys, it has been MUCH easier than we (yes, we) expected. It just has taken a lot of careful thought, measuring, and planning. I'm not a welder, but I hired a good one. I do have a vision though. I'm not trying to build it as cheaply as possible, but I am trying to build efficiently.
Still havin fun!!
I certainly appreciate the kind words and encouragement.:metal:

Hey BBEEP, as you were making your decisions on how to graft the Envoy firewall to the Burb cowl, did you run into any issues with the windshield wiper posts & linkages? I was planning to try and use my modern wiper linkage and posts but using the old locations and post brackets. I just realized I have to have a solid plan ahead of time because once I tack weld the graft I will close off some access up into these areas.

Was yours pretty straight forward?

I haven't been too concerned about that. I will use the Envoy if I can, but most likely will use a universal wiper that has been recommended by a couple of local builders. It is a cable system and takes very little space.
I was thinking the same as you are to start with, that I would have major problems. Even considered wipers above the windshield, but have been assured this aftermarket is the way to go. I have "Raingear" on my 48 GMC Panel that works very well, but it is too large for the space I have. I will get some pics of my space and find out the name of the system when I can.

Going up in Eugene I had a 47 AD I drove for a while with poor vaccum wipers. I used a rag on a coat hanger for a while then got a better car, the girls I dated were not to enthusistac about hanging there arms out the window in the rain, go figure....

Some girls just don't understand the bond between a man and his truck. Of course some do and those are the ones to find.
