That sucks. What happened to them? Did they get ripped off or thrown away "on accident"?

No my dad wouldn't do that. He knows what I'm doing with all of it. Scrap metal is kinda high around here so it doesn't surprise me if someonr got five bucks for it. I had 4 radiators sitting with the seat too.

They probably did it for the copper. I just recycled just a little heater core and it got me nearly $3 by itself. Four full truck radiators probably got them close to $30 in scrap. Still sucks though. Sorry you lost some needed parts.

I went out there saturday morning around 9 am and he was like " what the hell are you doing out here?". I came to look at the cab. How many times are you gonna come look at it, its the same cab. HAHHAHAHHAAHAA!!!! That's a great way to get some attention. You might also mention to him that you have 80,000 friends on here that will need paint jobs sooner or later!!

I got some door panels from teeitup and hopefully they will finished at the upholstery shop tomorrow. Is 80 bucks bad to do two door panels covered in black vinyl and fabric with electric window switches cut and mounted? I will post pics when I get them back

Aluminum( polished) or painted the same color of the truck and bumpers Chrome painted as the truck or black? I dunno what to do!!! And the bowtie color for the fender emblem and hood emblem?

If labor only that sounds very fair or even cheap. If labor AND materials that would be a STEAL!

I think chrome or a brushed chrome look on the bumpers...black would IMHO be too much contrast with the color you're painting it. And on the grille, either polished or brushed if you do the brushed on the bumpers....you can always make a brushed finish to the outer and inner mirrors you got from me :D OR....leave the other stuff chrome to match the shiny billet...

Re: My 68 swb build.

Hmm.......ya thats materials and labor. And to top it off I dropped off some sun visors for him to recover in black vinyl. Guess how much for both? 100 bucks for the door panels and visors!!! Ok now back to the colors.... Chrome numbers. Front and rear sport bumpers. Check. BTW Jonathan, awesome mirror. It's heavy. Lol. What I do have for the front is the grille surround that are steel and headlight bezels that are steel also that are almost flawless dent wise. I bought some aluminum bezels a while back but they dont fit as well. Yall think if I did black bezels black grille surround and the emblem bowties black and Chrome ( thanks for those David they're awesome ) and the lettering on the tailgate in black? The reason I say black us because interior is black engine is polished and blue and paint is pearl white and blue pearl. Think it will work? Another key factor I'm throwing in is the price of everything. Let me know what ya think

Re: My 68 swb build.

oh.....i stopped by the painter today, one because he wouldnt answer his phone, i thought well maybe hes actually spraying.....NOT...lol but he did start to finish the body work on the inside of the cab. the front speaker mount is finally closed off and blocked and the front fenders and hood have been sprayed in epoxy again and wet sanded...now if he could only roll that cab into his booth and spray a little....we'd be set and everyone could see my cab on the frame...!!!!:mm::mm:

I was asking because between the rims, mirrors, and chrome bumpers I think chrome or polished grille trim will be best...
