The background terrain in your photos could be from around here. In fact, that building in the background of photo 4, the one with the Coca Cola sign, looks like one south of here on HWY 7 at "Who'd a Thought It". I love the K20 too. |

BTW, how did you ever get work without the area code and website on your truck.:lol: |
Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks v2.0
TV commercials on the morning news
I remember people asking "Where's your area code?". Back then the whole state had one area code, but VA, WVA, PA, and even DE are all close. Oh yeah, Washington DC too. I'd just say "They'll figure it out". You only had to dial the area code when calling out of state. But you remember that. Up home where my mom lives, before we were required to dial the area code within the area, you only had to dial the last 4 digits for local calls. The whole county had the same exchange. The farm is the old Rush family farm. Jesse and Bobby Rush lived in the newer house on a piece they broke off the farm and just up the other way is Rush Chapel. I used my folks' address for many years before I settled into my own place. My address on my drivers license was Rush Chapel Friendsville, MD zip People would say "But you have to have a street number" and I'd say "The mailman doesn't" Yeah, that's what I liked about your part of the country, felt like home. That was a roadside shop along the road through the Shenandoah Valley between Winchester and Front Royal, VA. The road taken to enter the national park and Skyline Drive. I've read it was the Scots Irish from SW VA and TN mountains that settled early in AR and they liked the familiarity of the land. |

I use a product manufactured by Loctite called Extend. It's a rust neutralizer.

BTW, I pulled the sun visors and clips and sprayed a couple cans in the cavity above the windshield. you need some sort of tube to spray it through. |

My truck is (or was) all these things...
https://i1064.photobucket.com/albums...s4awhhd89.jpeg A former State of Kansas forrestry and wildlife truck, then a shop truck for Carr Auto Electric, in Larnard Ks.... they’re responsible for the red white and blue paint... https://i1064.photobucket.com/albums...sb7fqnhvb.jpeg I cleaned up the paint some, rebuilt the suspension, brakes, replaced the heater core, new tires, tuned it up and now it’s my daily driver... https://i1064.photobucket.com/albums...s9uuk0cxt.jpeg |
