Re: Topless Thread
Haha I did buy it that way. I think it's a stock type roll bar that was added onto to make a full cage. I took off all the padding and tape so it looks better now although now os more dangerous to my head.
Not planning on rolling it but just in case..... |
Re: Topless Thread
Wow, my son would have a field day swinging around on those bars

That's funny because its exactly what my little 5 yr old brother did the first time he climbed into the Blazer. |
Re: Topless Thread
 Ya my son likes to swing on our single (stock type) roll bar. He wouldn't know what to do with himself if he had several to choose from

I'll throw mine in and another project I'm working on. Too bad my wife does not like either one of them or understands the 'classic' car/truck thing, but my boys love them.

Re: Topless Thread
a 64 Goat. Is that a real one?? Not many pontiac people around.
I should throw a few of my pontiacs up here,,,and probably ban myself from this site  |

I have a 70 formula, which also came out in the middle of the year due to the GM strike. I only hear that referred to a 70 1/2 once in a great while. I just call it a 70  |
Re: Topless Thread
Okay, at the risk of being shunned, I'll post some of our pontiacs.
Here is my Formula after a day of racing at Norwalk, parked up on a chassis dyno for some tweaking.... http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...rebirdpic1.jpg Here is my fathers goat that he bought new,,,at the same event making a few shakedown runs with the new motor I built. Still racing the car after 40+ years. http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...RWALK_1_07.jpg And here is my 71 Ventura Sprint that I decided to bring out of a 20 year hibernation this past fall. An unrestored time capsule. http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...1/P3280031.jpg |

NICE Pontiacs Firebirdjones! Mine has a 428, Muncie 4sp, 3.90 posi, 4wh disc, mechanically runs great, cosmetically it has issues. I love convertibles, back to the nice topless Blazer before we get banned

Re: Topless Thread
Been having issues with photobucket.
In any event to keep this alive at the risk of being banned  I raced the firebird in pure stock for years, now sports a 434 ci made to look stock ;) http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...1/PC220009.jpg Here is the engine I built for my fathers car in 07 that was yankin' the hoops in the previous pic........603 hp 455 that is now getting retired for the current 499 ci build :metal: http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...1/CIMG1069.jpg And here is one to upset all the pontiac diehards,,,,ya it's a chevy motor in my ventura,,,but it came factory that way. Makes a nice conversation piece when I park next to the purists  http://i755.photobucket.com/albums/x...1/P7300021.jpg |

Great rides, thanks for sharing but lets get back to being topless.
This was one of my favorite blazers I ever owned, for some reason it was just 'really great' to drive. |
Re: Topless Thread
How's this for Topless!
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_s41zmvZTlf8/S3...zed%5B1%5D.jpg This is what happens when you bring spray paint with you wheeling/camping...add a bunch of beer and some buddies willing to help and walla...flame job! |

Re: Topless Thread
Nice K5, welcome to the board! What size tires are you running?
|
Re: Topless Thread
Thank you very much! Those are tires that Les Schwab used to carry. They are Wildcat EXT Radial LT. Size 33"x12.50Rx15LT. I think it is stock height and they fit :bann::bann:
