That brown looks sweet in the sun, normally not a fan of brown but that looks very nice.

Love the rails on your truck. Build them your self?

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

Yes I built the steps it's just the start of them for now... I need to get fender flares before I make them permanent then I'm going to put flat steps on the bars that drop down so I'm not just stepping on tubing.

Got some more odds n ends done.... Cut out flares are on I don't like how they cover the clearance light so I will be shaving the lights and trimming off the plastic on the flare that covers the light... Kind of a cheesy easy way out on bushwackers part... Also borrowed a set of 40s so I could build templates for the mud flap brackets... Hopefully get those bent up this weekend... Due to resizing pictures I'm just going to post less as I do everything on my phone

Amazing work keep it up and I am doing an 80 k30 dually and was wondering if you have anymore pictures of how you got the intercooler mounted on the core support and what intercooler did you use.

Thanks

Sorry it's taken so long to get back... I'm currently building my garage with every ounce of free time I get... I will take some photos of where I cut out the rad support I used the intercooler out of 94-98 dodge I traced a template of the rough outside of the intercooler and transferred it onto the rad support if you look close I put it as low as I could.. I then built a frame around it with 3/4" square tubing to put some strength back into it... Doing it the way I did not have to cut the support from the hood latch to the bottom of the rad support...

Sorry I haven't had any progress is that last month or so I've been trying to get my man cave built at home n closed up before the snow flys. I'm getting there I have the weekend to work on it now so hopefully get a good amount done ...

Nice little cave you have there. What do you have to worry about down there anyways? It snows, a chinook rolls threw about 2pm and you guys are in tshirts for 3 days ;)

Looks to me like your in Airdrie or some thing, not right in Calgary. Mind me asking what a plot of land is worth in your neck of the woods? Looks like your on at least an acre or 2

How big did you end up going?

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

I have n acreage just out of brooks ... I bought it bare a guy had it for years and never did anything with it and just wanted to quit paying the taxes so I picked it up cheap its exactly and acre ... Garage is 40' wide n 30' deep ... Just over ten foot walls... Wanted to go bigger but I don't have plans of staying here forever so it's all good...

Done a little more work on the truck ... I got the body work on the doors finished up, installed a super b single turbo and built a 4" down pipe... In going to lift the body off the frame and take the frame home so I can hammer down on the body and paint...I would post more photos but using my phone only let's me do one at a time... The ac condenser and drier is all mounted the rad support needs a few finish welds and it's ready to blast and paint.

Great painting! Your garage looks pretty dang nice. Were you able to get it finished before snow flew?

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

No I didn't get it done. I finished the front and one side then it got to cold the siding was just snapping when I tryed to cut it... Gives me something to do once spring time comes... I'm hoping to have it closed up by summer and hopefully paint the truck in it before I move out of the shop... Nice big paint booth lol

I just came across your build and I cant wait to see it done. I will definitely be following your build. I am also doing a CC SRW Cummins conversion using a 24 valve Cummins, 4L80e and a NP205.

Got my new tie rod assembly and steering shock, also my tailgate, handle, rods n latches showed up... Tailgate wouldn't close the stamped body line is stamped to low so here we go... Cut time I'm just going to turn the body line inside out... I fitted two designs of factory tailgates and they both worked but the new one didn't...

Hey it fits and it shuts... Yay just have to finish welding and it's golden a few small spots to fix on the outside and that's it

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

Nice work. That is weird about that one being wrong. Makes you wonder how many others are wrong along with that one?

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

Yeah I was confused I thought that line was supposed to sit just above the bed floor but it sits about 3/8 of an inch to low...

Got a few other odds n ends done got the tail gate cut n fixed so it will close now as well as all sanded down... Hoods sanded down got my draw straw put in the fuel tank. I also built a dolly for the cab just have a little finishing up to do on it and off the frame once again for the last time... When I get some free time I'm going to get my last prime on the entire truck... It's time everything will be ready for paint except the tail gate and hood which both need high solids and a good blocking...
