Tying up all the little things. Used big block upper radiator support. I think it looks clean and hides the aluminum radiator. I'm kinda going for the blacked out look under the hood. Yes I know the intake needs paint then probably. What do you think?...black it out too? Waiting on Tac Module and we should be able to turn a key and see what happens.

Thanks, if I had a decent camera phone I'd snap a good picture. It really does clean up the engine compartment.

That looks very nice! I'd almost leave the red on the letters. Anyone should know it isn't a TBI engine any how and you spent that extra coin on a little more power so show it off IMO. Plus if you ever sell the truck you can verify it truly has a "Corvette" engine. Haha

Thank you sir. I think it'll look good all cleaned up.

It looks better with the covers on. I think they will stay for now. I've spent ALL my budget anyway!

Ok...update.

Motor in all was good put 400 miles on it.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/p...ictureid=23694

then this happened:

Drive shaft seems to spit out a u-joint cap. Seems the driveline vibration busted the transfer case.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/p...ictureid=23703

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/p...ictureid=23704

So now I'm in the market for a new transfer case, or some new parts for my transfer case.

thanks, its a bummer of a set back thats for sure. But could've been way worse. I was doing 75 when it happened.

It had a 90-91 suburban NP241, thats what I'd like to find again for it just because the whole VSS problem is easy that way.

The factory brace, but I am going to fab up something better this go around. I'm thinking of using the same thing the later 90's used in the 2500 & 3500. They supported the slip yoke with a carrier bearing looking cross brace.

But I'm def open to ideas and suggestions.

If you can't find one in your area, I know a guy about 45 minutes from me that probably has a few.

Got everything back together. Decided that the thing needs driven, so we decided to take a road trip to Montana.

Then in Salt Lake City this happened:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/p...ictureid=24034

Turned out it was a bad speed sensor. This ended the trip for the pickup though. Wish I would've looked into it a little more but I had the family and didn't want to waste our vacation in a hotel room in Salt Lake. So we rented a car and kept heading north! Bummer I didn't accomplish what I wanted to do but sometimes that's life I guess!

Ah bummer. I'm not seeing pics for some reason, but get the gist of the story. New rigs break too is what I always tell myself.

Marcus,
You can't see the most recent pics? Hmmm those are posted on the forum. I heard photobucket is not allowing hosting (unless you upgrade your account).

I wonder if that's what it is???
