Justin,
I have a question...."Vintage air makes a set of A/C controls that will fit in the original AC/heat control space". Someone posted this in my thread. Is this controls electric so I could use a genII model ac. And do you have a pic...

Hey Sir -

I was wondering if I could get a quote for a Gen-4 sure fit kit for a 64 C-10 with a 454 and a long water pump, v-belts.. Also, is there an option for circular vents (trying to stay with a classic 60's look). Also could you tell me what size the vent lines are (incase I have to find circular vents from other places). Thanks for your help!

Hello! I have a 72 C10, factory A/C Cab, but I have removed the controls from the dash, as well as all of the old guts from the dash (defrost and dash vent tubes -they were full of dust and worn out). 350, Automatic. Currently no a/c components installed save for the big plastic box on the firewall. Can you share my options? I live in Atlanta, GA - and it tends to get hot. PS - I am running electric fans - do I need anything else? They blow around 1100 CFM if I recall correctly. Thanks in advance.

They do have a complete ac kit for your car but you will need to use your factory ac controls that came with the car back in 59-60.If you need controls you will have to buy some from a supplier on Impala parts. There kit will come with replacement cables. They do have a complete sure fit for your dash you are using

Re: Vintage Air Sale

Hey Justin,

Can I get a quote on kit #944170 shipped to 72120? This is for a '69 C10, factory air cab, 454 w/late model (90-94) small block serpentine belt setup. Not sure if the Sanden compressor will work with this, I believe Vintage Air makes a bracket to adapt the Sanden compressor in place of the R4 that originally came with this belt setup.

*Edit* - found that bracket part #, it's 141805.

Thanks!

I am deployed and can't look at the vintage air site. Can you tell me what is available for a 1971 C10 with a '05 GEN III 6.0. I would like A/C and heat and whatever else I can get with it.

Thanks,
Adam

Re: Vintage Air Sale

Vintage air has a direct bolt in kit to your truck and you can use your factory ac comp on the motor you have if you would like to.On your truck now was your truck a factory air or non factory air?

If your truck was not factory air and you have the heater controller you can use this in your truck with your new ac kit from VA

If you truck was factory air and you have the ac controller in the dash you can use this in your truck with the new ac kit from VA

Let me know on this and I will send you over a price on what you will need to get you all taken care of

Justin,

My truck did not have factory air and I'm not sure if this matters but I was completely replacing the firewall before I left. There will not be any of the original holes when it is completed.
