Started my million hours of Grinding...
Started with my cutoff wheel to get the top layer knocked down... :metal:
This first round of grinding revealed a few areas that will require some additional welding... Gonna have to invest in a bigger gas bottle, to small one just isn't lasting... :waah:
Will be visiting HF to get angle grinder this week so I can do some finish work.:uhmk:

:flagw: A productive 4th for me...
Got the Oil changed in my wife's DD and my Daughter's car... :mm:
Installed a '95 Chrome Grille in my '90 Silverado DD, the grille was a straight across trade with a friend who had it on his '91. He wanted a period correct grille he could paint and add billet inserts, so it worked out for us both :metal:
Replaced the broken drive belt on the riding lawn mower...:uhmk:
After all that, it was on to the Grind, Weld, Grind...Repeat process;):metal::flag::metal:
Here are a few progress pics... Some welds after the initial grind session, Me in action with the new Toy, er... Tool! And after the last grind session today...:metal:
Going to do repeat of today this weekend, hopefully for the last time, then onto other areas that need attention...:chevy::bann:
Just a small bit of progress, but progress nonetheless!!!

Thanks JMo for the encouragement, still have some time to invest... This is my first metal repair attempted, so I am taking it slow and learning as I go, the learning part usually is accompanied by a :dohh:

Thanks Josh, the new toy is fun, albeit this is turning into the weld, grind, repeat circus as I learn through the process... I need to make a big sign to hang in the shop, that were words of Wisdom imparted by Dr. Bomp... "Slow Down, Think, and Practice, Practice, Practice..." :metal:
Congrats to the Daughter on the upcoming Nuptials, and enjoy the Peace that will hopefully follow in the near future.:mm:
