Juanito,
Unfortunately, I haven't touched it since I picked it up. I'm kinda a one trick pony, can't multitask if you know what I mean. I do still plan on reworking the harness myself though. will still have to get the pcm reprogrammed by someone. I wonder if any board members are doing this yet?

It takes time and patience, I had my PCM flashed by a local Chevy dealer for only $80, but for some reason they wont do it again.....

$80 for the PCM? that's a good deal. So, did you do your harness yourself?

I did, but I had a friend with previous experience doing this, wich help me a lot. Theres a lot of wires on the harness, it really helps to know what you are doing, I've got a few LS engines running on stand alone mode, but there is still a few bugs I have to work on with, specially if you are using the stock trannny that came with the engine.

Funny you should ask, I have been working on an update. I spent the long weekend cleaning junk out of the shop to make room for this project inside. I got the front suspension taken apart and three of the control arms media blasted at work, need to find a RH lower arm (bent pretty bad). I still need to remove the mounting shafts and install new bushings. Not too sure about that since I've never done them.
I am pretty excited to be back on this for the winter months. BTW, I have been picking up parts here and there for the project. Got some pretty good stuff;)
My kid is super happy with his 86 so this is going to be my daily driver soon......well in the future. He wants a 67 or 68 so I am kinda on the lookout for another one.
here are the pics.

Glad to hear you are making some progress and were able to clear out enough space in the shop for the 69 so you can work on it over the winter.

Wish I had gotten to that before it snowed. With the storm today we are going to set an all time snow fall record for the month of November. No realistic way to get my 69 C20 under cover now.

No I've decided to hold off on any projects until my youngest graduates high school. Just too much stuff going on. She'll be a Freshman next year so about 5 yrs or so. I'm always looking though

Yeah I figured why try and get another one just to have the same result. Better to wait until I know I have a better chance of completing it, or it not being a burden sitting there.

Re: 1969 Short Wide

I don't think this one will be completed any time soon, but hey I have to try.

Got a little progress done this weekend. Finished stripping the frame, got it read to be blasted or wire wheel cleaned on the bottom. I would really like to blast it if I can make it happen. I was able to pick up the lower control arm at Pull a part last week. Got them all blasted and primered. (forgot pics). All I need now is some cash to get rolling on this thing. Here are the pics:

Well, I want to media blast the frame and crossmembers. I picked up one of those portable blasting carts. Just need to get some glass/sand. Then, I will paint the frame, front and rear end.

Thursday I ordered all the new front steering and suspension parts. I still need 2" drop springs for the front.

Hope to hit it hard and heavy next week. Hard to believe how slow things go when strapped for cash:waah: always this time of year.
