Re: CUSTOM CAMPERS lets see them!

I'll jump on board here, just picked this 69 zero rust NM truck originally purchased here in Albuquerque, has protecto plate and original invoice. It's been sitting for 8 years. I've had my eye on it for a few years. The truck is all original unmolested aside from the previous owner pulled out the bucket seats for one of his builds. The owner before him was going to replace the timing chain and rebuild the carb. It was in a fender bender which bent up the front bumper, grill and passenger fender. The damaged passenger fender has been replaced. I have a WTB thread for a passenger in matching color or medium olive color and I can have a dark olive stripe added later. I would really like to keep it with the original paint.

Here's a pic of the damaged side, the good side is against the wall.

I know right. Been holding out on the Cheyenne super rv pics. Been putting all my effort in it trying to get the big block running right. Just put a new fridge in it yesterday. A good OG carb should be enroute soon. It's what got me into big blocks now. Pics coming soon.

Ok man here it is. Was wanting to have a nice image of it out on a NM lake with a bunch of dead honkers and mallards on the hood. Lol

I drove this one back from California in February. Long story.

Here are some pix of mine- just spotted this thread.

I will eventually repaint the lower section white, like the SPID says; I like that better. When my FIL had it painted back in the'80s, he had it all painted orange but the roof. That camper shell was on it when he bought it in '73. Doesn't say it on the SPID, but it has the 16.5" wheels. I wonder how much pain I'm going to have when I go for new tires (which it does need, these have been on there for probably 15 years). It has those rare chrome plated hub caps, but I think not all of them are original. I also removed that yougly bug reflector since these pix were taken.

Oh yeah- CE21034 is a Longhorn.

Piece of cake - Firestone TransForce HT is the perfect tire for your custom camper. 9.50-16.5 as long as you have 6.75 or 8.25" width rims. Nice truck! (here's the above mentioned tire on my former 71 C20 Custom Camper Cheyenne Super (yes, I miss it...))
