That's cool! I bet the bed floor is still heavy as hell!

It's still pretty heavy yes! It's actually heavier now with the new bed support frame haha.

You should add a valve and put air struts on there. Then you could flip a switch to raise it. Either way it's badass. Good work

I considered using electric actuators but my battery will be relocatea under the bed and I'd hate to get a dead battery and not be able to get at it! Thanks man, I'm happy with how it's turning out

So... just curious, how do you plan on lifting it when you have the tubz in place?

I'll install one of those flush mount boat latches that flip up and use it as a pull.

Put the Boyd Welding tank in and set it up so the filler neck is flush with the bedfloor.

your project rocks. are you keeping the original paint on the body? the white frame is a nice touch. think the original olive would look trick.

Thanks! Yes I'm keeping the the original paint. Crusty on top, brand new underneath.

I see you're in Santee, I'm right here in Serra Mesa.

Thank you sir!

Got a little more done on the truck recently, but have been busy at work. The raised bedfloor frame is completed and at powder coat right now. Should have it back later this week.

Got the Hart Rods Chubtubz installed as well, these are custom rear tubs that are 7" wider than stock to clear the big pirelli 405/25r24 tires. I believe these tubs are now 19.5" wide. Dont mind the different color primer, they will be painted eventually.

Started buttoning up the LS engine. Got the LS3 heads bolted on with the ARP bolts, new big Texas Speed cam is in 229/236, .624/.615, 112 LSA Should have a nice lope to it. New Rollermaster timing set, .650 double valve springs, pushrods, solid roller lifters, Hooker headers that are tight to the engine to clear the steering with the Porterbuilt stuff...etc
