Re: project bagged 63 c10

Well had a minor setback....I'm usually all about measuring a bunch of times then cutting well I winged it....cutout was good at first but I guess I got a little carried away with the grinder so I had a slight gap on the top and bottom and it would have driven me nuts seeing that all the time. So fit it one last time glassed up my space and this is where I'm at now.doh
I figured I'd share that not everything always goes as planned:lol:
Lesson learned
Gonna spot prime that area and paint the roof and back wall tonight and do the dash after to have less dust ....(good idea modge)

Thanks guys! hope all the dads out there are enjoying their fathers day weekend. i know i am!!!Now on the good stuff:devil:
Based it up last night and cleared it this morning was getting late after basing it and still a bit too much floating around. So I let things settle and my neighbors sleep and called it a night. First pics are the base down(water borne paint goes on wet and looks like its cleared. Then once it flashes off it looks like a satin finish. You could add hardener to the base before spraying and leave it like that. But I had to clear it and make it shine a bit!

Thank you clemdaddy! I loved the color I painted my Subaru back in the day which was paint code PDm for Chrysler....wasn't feeling painting my truck a dodge color so I picked a gm color that would work well with the blue I already sprayed. The color is called berlin black gm code WA748Q is actually a nice dark charcoal not black like the name:lol:

HAPPY FATHERS DAY EVERYONE!!!

I personally love spraying it. I have been using the waterborne paint for 2 yrs and have learned a lot using it... I am kinda a perfectionist and like my prep work on point. Not as forgiving as solvent paints where you can hid mistakes a little easier. You can fix mistakes with this but it's a pain in the a$$. Here is a link for some info on it.
