Finished the other side vent pocket now the grinding begins. The rockers need addressing, both sides were damaged at loading or storage of the cab no rust just haven't decided to straighten or cut off and weld new ones in. Thinking of doing the latter then trying to straighten out original rockers (edges of running boards). Will post repairs as soon as I figure out what needs to be done.

Had some time yesterday to box my rear frame and build a Welder Series pan hard mount for the rear end. Wouldn't you know 3/4 of the way almost done my Hobart mig welder drive motor took a dump on me. I took it the welding shop to get repaired it is a handler 175 I really like this welder. Should be repaired in a week or so when parts arrive oh well. I owned this welder for a few years so getting it repaired is less than buying a new one.

Recently picked up a 59 Fleetside bed but it had a very bad dent. The damage was pretty bad requiring pushed in area of the spear portion to be
replaced, A member of this forum Dunce79 (Cassey) was cool enough to sell me a patch he had left over from his build. Here are the before and after pics. |
