I've been on spring break this week so I've been putting a lot of time in on the truck. Haven't taken much pictures.
Got the Lokar shifter in, more center console work done, replaces oiler cooler lines, finished power steering stuff, welded some flanges on the exhaust so I can separate the rear section, got the gas tank done so my buddy can weld it up, got some more wiring done (almost finally done), and some other things I'm sure I'm forgetting. I'm planning on attempting to drive it before the end of the weekend. No floors needed. Also sold my 52 Packard to pay off some of the debt I'm in to the panel truck. |

Got some more wiring done. Went after front shocks next. Welded on a tab on the bottom of the Michigan Metal Works arms. I'm using a factory shock and since the crossmember is pancaked I made my shock mount on the bottom. Checked clearance and the frame will hit before the shock mount will.

Put the rest of the front end together and........ DROVE IT! It was a little sketchy without floors but she went down the state route and back. Here's a pic on her maiden voyage.

Was an awesome feeling driving something I've built. Still has a long way to go but overall it was great.

Went on another drive. Still working some bugs out of it. Having issues with the new battery that I just bought in the fall. Ordered an expensive tool to help out with some of the floors. More to come on that later.

Cool truck. Doing the "Fred Flintstone" drive is a right of password for owning these trucks I think...
