Nice looking truck Dennis! I noticed the wiper motor mounted on the firewall, is that stock? If not could you elaborate a little on how you went about doing that? I have been wanting to upgrade mine in my 64. Thanks!

When other people do it I've noticed they get a lot more paint all over the place. I wounder if you can spray that stuff? Is it to thick?

Thanks D. The wind kicked up. All it takes is one gust. It's windy up here a lot too. :waah:

Look again. It's a 1963 Studebaker Lark. The wiper motor is in the stock location.

No it's thin, but covers really good. POR-15 said you can spray it too. But why when it comes out really smooth. Besides you don't have to mask anything. Just a drop cloth so if it drips it won't get on the floor.

Sorry about that Dennis, somewhere along the way I missed that "little" detail.

Believe me I'm thankful. And lucky too. I still need to spread the word to keep busy. I was coming home from getting parts, and I saw my old 37 Ford Coupe driving the other way. I sold it about 15 years ago. I did a big U turn to talk to him. This guy just bought it 2 months ago from the guy I sold it to. It looked exactly the way it was when I sold it. It still looked great. He needs some work done on it. That's more work that I hope I get. He was missing his front license plate. It said 37 Steel. I told him that I had it. And he can have it free. So I know he will be in to see me. I'll post a picture of it when he comes in.

Hell yes. I could give it another coat, but I don't think it needs it. When I do my truck, I'll make sure I wet everything down to minimize dust, like when I spray paint. I'll also do it early in the morning when there's no wind. You'll see pictures when I do.
After I clean up the frame holes & remove some brackets I be ready. I just have to get the customers cars off the lift.

what are you planning to do for prep before POR'ing the frame?

One word SANDBLAST. The Studebaker was a pain in the butt doing it with the body on. I got the part of the frame I painted down to bare metal. With my truck it will be a frame off. I want it down to bare metal too before I put the POR-15 on it. But in a cleaner environment. With the Studebaker's frame I used a scrapers, and wire wheel on my hand grinder to get it down to the bare metal. Plus before that I had to get the grease, and dirt off first. POR-15 has a degreaser, and metal prep your supposed to use also.
