It's impossible to tell............ they're secret.

However, logic dictates that long long ago......................... the chinese were some amazing people...............

Re: my 64

i think i have some type of sickness
i cant stop building mufflers im getting better at it though
here are some pics
this is what i started out with
its a 3x3 piece of square tubing 16 gauge
http://i886.photobucket.com/albums/a...4/IMG_1820.jpg
i cut two 10 in sections and welded them together like this
http://i886.photobucket.com/albums/a...4/IMG_1821.jpg
http://i886.photobucket.com/albums/a...4/IMG_1822.jpg
then i made baffles out of the same tubing and cut one side out of them
http://i886.photobucket.com/albums/a...4/IMG_1823.jpg
http://i886.photobucket.com/albums/a...4/IMG_1824.jpg
baffles welded in
http://i886.photobucket.com/albums/a...4/IMG_1828.jpg
finished product

Re: my 64

Holy cow man! How much does that muffler weigh?

jgh64pkup 07-22-2009 04:22 PM

Re: my 64

not as much as my delta forces

jgh64pkup 07-22-2009 04:24 PM

Re: my 64

it weighs 8 pounds the delta forces weigh 12 i think

JohnC 07-22-2009 04:28 PM

Re: my 64

Wow I really figured they would weigh more than that.

Re: my 64

my dad has some crappy sounding glass packs on his truck now and his header collector leaks so i told him i would fix his header if he let me put the mufflers on
i have to wait until he gets home so he can hear them first

looks good, you should hit that tube with a wire wheel or flap disc before you weld and paint, it would look much cleaner when your done...

Gage get out the grinder with the wire wheel and clean it up and repaint so it looks nice, then maybe your dad will want them on his truck.

ruffrida2005 07-22-2009 08:35 PM

Re: my 64

looks good Gage, but I'm with Joe, need to clean it up. Get them put on your truck and lets hear them!

jgh64pkup 07-22-2009 08:52 PM

Re: my 64

i had some bad experience with the wire wheel when i was doing my front suspension
i was wearing a shirt with holes in it and it grabbed the shirt and gave me some road rash on my stomach i had to cut the shirt to get the grinder off
but anyway youve convinced me ill do it tomorrow
my dad doesnt want them
i think im going to use them for the track
and just bolt them to my exhaust cutouts
