Same with my GMC. My road doesn't get pre-treated, so if I can get out before the plows I'll take it out

That's for sure!!!

Ok, I can play... The burb has 37" tires for reference. Been a real MN winter here this year!

GUH, snow. I was a little kid when we moved from Minneapolis in '56. It snowed a cumulative 38 feet that winter, according to my dad. I've been in the snow, but never like that...and I ain't gonna.

We've had bad luck with snow this year. One of those gets cold and dry, then warms up to precipitate kind of winters. We've had a few that barely coated and it turned to rain on two of them. That's what I hate, not snow. We have a day of rain expected for Saturday here in late January. Coldass rain sucks! I'll take the snow any day… as long as it's winter!

LOL! I live near the Twin Cities area and can promise it didn't snow 38-feet that winter. (Even though I wasn't alive yet) Our average snowfall is about 40-45". Maybe there was more snow in the winter of '56, but I don't think it was 38-feet. LOL

Is there anywhere that can get 38' a season? I know little old 3,000' far Western Maryland mountains get an average of 120", so 10'. They catch lake affect snow up in that corner. It is also west of the Eastern Continental Divide

Minnesota's department of resources has snowfall totals on record available for the general public. The record seasonal total is a little over 8 ft in 1982- still a lot of snow! The 1956-1957 was a 39.1" season - that's more snow than I want to shovel!

My dad exaggerated his stories to me too. The most common one was "I walked 2 miles barefoot in the snow. Uphill to and from school". That's only one of them....

Rolled out the door at 5:00 am yesterday headed to work. My first thought was "It really frosted last night" but a second look revealed it was snowing hard and there was about 1/2" on the ground. The most snow we've had all year and it's in March. It snowed on and off all day but no real accumulation below 500 ft. Unfortunately the picture I took a 5:00 am didn't work with no flash.

Up in the good air! It was a fairly snowless winter here in the Mid-Atlantic east of the Appalachians. Pretty unusual, so I guess we could still get a March or April snow since unusual is the rule.
