Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
Thanks guys it's getting pretty exciting. Now that the seat's in (temporarily of course) I'm a little concerned about room being that I'm 6'4"...

Re: Project: 1967 C10 Small Window
well the seat you got is a 69 72 so the back doesnt move forward. thats sucks for you because your truck came with the back folding 67-8 seat so you should look for another one if you want the back to fold like original. oh and YOUR TRUCK LOOKS AWESOME!!! just need to sand the bed and prime it!!

Your build is coming along quick. I have some of the same ideals as your build. But your truck is going to be a lot more detail. I wish I had a shop so I could do a complete build. Keep up the good work.
I just got the same headers yesterday. Quick question how is the clearance on the headers? Well, maybe two questions. Did you have to install them from under the truck to clear frame? |

I used a 100 sq.ft. of 80 mil Fatmat Rattle Trap and it just barely allowed me to cover everything once. I probably have less than 2 sq.ft. left... I'll probably get a little bit more later on for the doors and maybe a second layer on the firewall.

Got the gas tank installed with new sending unit. I sandblasted the original hardware and painted it silver. Also, there are rubber washers in between the gas tank and the cab for the top five bolts. |

Thanks guys!
Alright I decided to redo my rear view mirror bracket. Way back when, Slick67 told me he polished up his original bracket and I loved the look. I don't think you can buy these brackets reproduction and I'm pretty sure they only came for 67 so I really wanted to use it. I filed out all of the extra casting lines and smoothed out the surface using files, sandpaper, and the sandblasting cabinet. Then it was just sanding and sanding topped off with some metal polish to finish it up. What do yall think? |
