Nothing to fancy, sbc 300hp crate motor. I need it just strong enough to spin the A/C compressor!

This truck now resides in Lufkin Texas, I picked it up about a month ago and it is an amazing ride. First thing I did was give it a new heartbeat. Aluminum headed roller small block 355, 3500 stall/turbo 350 trans. I will try and get some current pics up.

I have not decided if I am going to put a logo on the doors yet. *if* I do, I will probably put something like this:

Lonnie's Sinclair

*insert dino logo here*

tel: 9-2332

This would be in memory of my Dad's old gas station that I remember growing up around.

Since this truck has the upper and lower moldings, I will probably just leave it as is.

I watched that one one East TX craigs list. It looked like a good score. I need to start/finish the 72 before I touch another. Here is a pic of her. I will try to get some better ones later. I recently purchased an ECE 4/6 drop and a set of buddy buckets for it. The truck only has one small half dollor sized ding on a wheel well and the hood has perfect patina. You can see the big block in my avatar.

Nice project. IMO, you need to get some paint on that roof, though. I have seen A LOT of good 67-72 cabs ruined when the caulking in the drip rail gave out and let water run in between the layers of metal, rusting the cab out around the windshield, back glass and rear window.

I would be interested in seeing an olive drab green military truck. I recently purchased a 72 1/2 ton swb step that wa originally an air force truck, to the best of my knowledge. It has several odd options on the SPID label about gov. markings, etc. It is currently dark blue, but the firewall is still olive drab green. I think the SPID says it was olive drab green as well. THe interior paint is silver, steering column is green.

I started one but didn't get to far..... I moved on to my 54 GMC project for now because it is a quicker build...

Man, i don't know... I am not too much of a stickler for luxuries like tilt, cruise, power windows, etc, but your truck is a little too bare bones. Looks kinda drafty with no cab... JUST KIDDIMG!!! I think I remember seeing pics of your project before. Any pics of it together? Was it originally olive drab green?
