Bummer about the fire. Glad no one was injured. It's good your truck is safe too.

Re: Raymond

Ok... I went by Chris Carlson's Hot Rods today... Had a "set down" with Chris... he really is a great guy... There has been some decent forward motion with the truck this week... They got the Upper control arms swapped around so they are correct now... The Rockers, Bottom of the doors cab corners and all of that have been fixed and the gaps are starting to look good... We have come to the agreement on what is to be completed and a VERY CLOSE estimate on the charges while it was a little higher than I was expecting it is we within line of getting the type of quality you would expect from a shop like this...

After the long Hiatus on this project I was starting again to get very discouraged and about to say the hell with it and stick it in the garage and forget about it but now I am excited again... once Chris gets done with it this time I should be ready to go to paint with it then it will sit until spring when I can get business rolling again and get the money to send the engine to Patterson, get the Vintage Air, purchase the American Wiring for it and have someone install it all... Any Takers?... LOL...

Went to Chris Carlson's Hot Rods today to take the Hood, Eddie Motorsports Hinges, and front fender Wheel houses... Man they have been cranking along on the truck... They just about have the gaps perfect on it with all the panels lined up... The roll pan is welded in and finished off... The Stake pockets are welded and finished off... I only had time to snap one picture...

Chris was talking that the entire truck should be in primer next week and ready for a final blocking...

I am really stoked on this...

ok... Here is a small update... Chris Carlson's Hot Rods has put alot of work into the truck... While it is difficult to see in the pictures much work on the truck they has accomplished alot of fit and gapping of the doors, fenders, hood, bed, tailgate, and some blocking and sanding... I am hoping this week they will move to the things that are first on my priority list and that its the tail light fuel filler and the kick panel speakers...

I am happy at least they are moving forward on the truck...

Here is a update...

We went by the Shop yesterday and guys this trucks body is really starting to come together...

the fit and gaps of the body are pretty much completed and they are starting to fit the body side moldings... here are a few pics for that...

http://images15.fotki.com/v230/photo...9/7815D-vi.jpg

http://images40.fotki.com/v1075/phot...9/7815J-vi.jpg

Those of you that have messed with these trucks know the hoods on these things are at best wavy... they are also extremely flexible when you are trying to block them... I think Jason at Chris Carlson's Hot Rods has nailed it and has this hood perfectly straight...

http://images15.fotki.com/v235/photo...9/7815I-vi.jpg

Now for the fun stuff... as you can see from the pictures the Fesler tail light look great... they are still fitting them and still need to get the LED's fit and the back of the light cut and flushed...

http://images16.fotki.com/v363/photo...9/7815H-vi.jpg

Now here is the real fun stuff... the hidden fuel filler... Chris still needs to do some tweaking on this but it is working almost flawlessly...

So what do you guys think...

Love that blue and white steering wheel and the tri power carb set up. You are collecting components that will come together with a truly unified theme. This is going to be a real show stopper. Cant wait to see what you have in mind for the upholstery given what the steering wheel looks like. I hope I can see it in person someday but Kansas is a long way from Oregon or Arizona.

ok... Not alot has happened over the last week... They have all the moldings lined up and looking great... the focus this week was to get the kick panel 6x9 speaker cut ins fabricated... That is completed so it is kind of waiting its turn to be blown apart and into the paint booth for its final coat of slick sand... after that it will be reassembled blocked with 400 and should be ready to blow apart again for paint...

Before we paint I am going to have them Fabricate a flush mounted Bed cover and it will be painted to match the truck...

Here is a pick of the speaker mount... Sorry for the poor quality of the pic... I am not a photographer... LOL

Re: Raymond

We are edging ever closer to getting Raymond in paint... last we they were able to blow the truck apart and get the Monstaliner sprayed on the bottom and inside of the bed and inside of the tailgate as well as the bottom of the front Wheel houses... They also have got the rest of the body panels sprayed with what should be the final round of slick sand...

When I get back from Vacation We are heading over to do the "final" block on the truck, clean it and hopefully go to paint...

The engine is out of the truck and hopefully when I get back I can pick it up and take it to Patterson Racing to get it built... I still don't know who I am going to have do the Transmission and I stull need to find a good 700R4 to build... I am going to let Patterson tell me what I need so it will match up to the engine...

Here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure...

Guys we are getting closer and closer... Hopefully by spring 2016 I can have this rolling down the road...

Thanks for checking out Raymond...

Dan
