A ref? Is he in a striped uniform, hah.
What do they do? Inspect and if they feel its up to par, they pass it?
Here we have to have all the necessary emissions equipment from the original donar vehicle and we're good. This is only good for a newer vehicle. Its a little more strict for older vehicles, especially if they did not come with a V8.

If everything goes as planned, I'll be picking one up within the next couple weeks. Had a friend in high school who had a white one with 3/4 drop on 17" TT-II's, & I've liked them ever since. Haven't had an '88-98/99 since getting rid of my '93 C-1500 back in '07. Needless to say, I'm getting anxious :lol: Some nice rides in here!

It is a ton of work, if you've never done sheetmetal work before I'd leave it to a professional. You will need pretty much a full 07 front clip even though you'll mostly be using the first 12 inches of it or so..

I ended up getting myself into the game as well. Picked up a '97 Tahoe about a month ago. Had about 71,500 original miles when I picked it up in Virginia. It has a 4/6 drop with spindles/springs, flip kit, C-notch, & helper air bags. Has a custom hidden hitch, roll pan, steel smoothie front bumper w/ recessed license, custom GMC grille with billet & shaved sidemarkers, fiberglass cowl hood, & 18" Boss 338's. I also got quite a few extras in the deal. I need to take some new pics of my own once the weather warms up again.

I just picked up this 97 Yukon (2wd, 5.7, new 4L80E, full power, new tires) for my 16 year old daughter. Did a swap involving my V-8 S-10, the Yukon will be a better daily than a stroked small block S-10. I'll drop this thing over the summer. Once I find her a suitable import (what she really wants), the Yukon will be my daily.

No they are some old Boyd Coddington wheels and I thought they were painted but it is actually just a vinyl put on them, like a car wrap.....not a bad idea by the previous owner.
