http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...35#post8010635 One I've been following and really have enjoyed. It's really just getting started but well worth the read. For all of the 67-72 guys and gals. Enjoy.

Re: Low Buck Build Threads Help or LBBTH
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=727205 Ok so this one isn't a Chevy or a truck for that matter but this is pretty cool from a gear head standpoint. So check it out and all the other cool builds in the Alternate Tinkerings. It's a F@&d Festiva. It's different and low budget as well. Enjoy.

At this point it's more about having fun and learning. Thanks for checking in. I never in my wildest dreams think this thread would be so popular and honestly FUN. So many great people on here. Thanks again.

Re: Low Buck Build Threads Help or LBBTH
It is a great thread Rusty. It forces us outside of our usual little corner of the forum. I love that you are pulling threads from all of the forum sections.

Re: Low Buck Build Threads Help or LBBTH
Inspiration comes from many places. With a board like this you can find so much and more. I really wish some of the sections would grow. The S10 and CK trucks seem to be really the only sub forums that seem to be slow growing. I troll constantly looking and I encourage others to do the same and add threads as they find them. Thanks again to all who support this thread.

Re: Low Buck Build Threads Help or LBBTH

Re: Low Buck Build Threads Help or LBBTH
Here's some low buck for ya. Started out with the need for a two into one so I could reuse the rear half of the existing exhaust in my build. I couldn't find one locally. So I grabbed about $40 worth of exhaust parts from the local shop and mig welded one together. Not pretty, but its darn functional and fits like a glove! The alternative was about $160 for a sbc 350 Y pipe collector. There were cheap ones I found from "Walker", but they didn't get very good reviews.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=745779 So here’s another going to be fun build by the great Joedoh. I enjoy his work and he pounds these rides out quick. He always has great tech and great at explaining things. Even you aren’t building a 41 it’s still worth your time to check it out. So go now.

Re: Low Buck Build Threads Help or LBBTH
Bought my 1970 3/4 ton in running condition, straight body, nice bumpers & grille. Not a bad truck at all, just needed a lot of clean up and paint.
Even though the truck ran fine, I decided to take it apart. Here it is after sitting for the first two years I had it. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...Truck_02_1.jpg http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/..._Truck_03_.jpg http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/..._Truck_08_.jpg http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/..._Truck_11_.jpg You can see paint was a huge improvement. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/..._Truck_12_.jpg Engine looks fine and a nice rebuild done by previous owner. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/..._Truck_16_.jpg I think the best thing done on the truck has been my attention to detail. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/..._Truck_24_.jpg Engine a couple years after I finished. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/..._Truck_27_.jpg Interior. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/..._Truck_28_.jpg Decided to take it to a cruise and car show. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...m/DSCN0528.JPG Here at the car show of over 500 vehicles. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/.../DSCN07081.JPG Won 3rd place in the 67-72 modified pick up category. Not to bad for a budget build work truck. Other than used parts I had, paint, fluids, etc... I bought the new instrument bezel, chrome A/C vents, and carpet. Bob |

Re: Low Buck Build Threads Help or LBBTH
I did a thread on this a while back and there wasn’t or didn’t seem to be any interest in it. But today is a different day. Our man kustombrad is working with several other fellas on a podcast project that’s super cool. If you have any desire for hot rods, kustoms and automotive art this is the place for you. https://roundsixpod.com/2017/12/14/r...nal-brush-off/ The website is roundsixpod.com. You can’t call yourself a gear head and not check this out. Brad is an exceptional artist and a super cool dude. The other guys are just as talented and way cool too. Take the time to check the website out, YouTube and Instagram as well. I really enjoy it and I really do feel it will get better. Enjoy
