Im jealous of your tools!! Wish you were closer I would come bum them haha.

Glad to hear it's running well. Where did you send the computer off to have it tuned? What's going on with the steering?

I've got the same impact in camo. I love it and use it daily. Keep it oiled daily. The forward/reverse likes to bind up easily.

Yeah my buddy told me to keep it oiled. It's a beast and sounds aggressive too!

Nice tools!

Thanks! I can use any tool and get the job done. Investing in this bigger premium tool companies has got me spoiled. A lot less busted knuckles and it saves me time and money in the long run. There is no need to spend $400+ on a set of swivel impact sockets or $50 on a 23" 1/2 to 3/8 extension but it makes doing things like bellhousing bolts and getting to hard to reach areas a whole lot easier! I've still got a long way to go but I feel it's well worth it. A little bit at a time adds up after a few years.

I didn't send the pcm off to be tuned. I didn't have to. All the vats are enabled b/c I am using about 90% of the 2001 silverado donors wiring harness as well as steering column, instrument cluster, fuel pump assembly, et cetera. You should check out my build :)

Thats right. I've been of the boards for a while. Glad to see you've made lots of progress! I'll be starting back up on mine in the next couple of weeks. I'm in the home stretch.

Gotta the gas tank out of the truck the other day and coil packs installed on the valve covers. Picked up the wiring harness as well. I will be posting a picture of them tomorrow.

Oh yeah. Found a 14 bolt FF axle off of a 91 3500 single wheel r truck. Thinking about making the conversion..... tonight I'm sanding down the hood for the blue truck so I can paint it this week. Going to be sweet when it's done.

Ready for some warmer weather to come by so I can go out and wrench on the truck. I'd like to get her going so I can turn my attention on the blue truck and the '63. Going to get those squared away before I dive into the turbo build.

Going to focus the majority of my attention on the 63 this month. Have only 5 days to get it ready for the car show at the end of the month. Progress has been stagnant because I can't stop buying tools... I go through phases where I buy a bunch of tools (majority that I need) and then focus on my projects... well tool phase is over and I'm diving back in. Just in time for spring.

This picture is old from about a month ago... box has been reorganized over 3 times since then because of all the stuff I have bought since then lol.

I payed $147 for that screw driver set... don't ask me why I did it because I couldn't tell you lol

No need to explain yourself on this one... Let's just say I am a tool junky myself and I understand. I have been in my tool buying phase for about 15 years now. Fortunately I have a wife who understands how the tools help bring money home.

I also understand how other projects seem to need attention too... but try not to get focused on those and not make progress on 79. There are several of us who have been watching this thread and building ideas/projects of our based off of your experiences. Keep up the good work.

Well said. I told myself I wouldn't buy any tools today... walked off the snap on truck with a set of sockets... Got a free ratchet and clock with it though haha.
