How are you attaching your dash asides from the three bolts on either side, I assume you have left a portion of the sheet metal bare to "spot weld" it to the cowl section... Surprised you didn't paint that in the cab.
Have a good one,

Received the two emblems in the rear today. The chrome on the second from the rear would be flawless if not for one small scratch in the upper right on the 2nd zero. The one in the rear is pitted. Per E-bay seller, "no pits". That's okay, the good one is worth what I paid for both, so no complaint here.

The two in front came off the truck, and until tonight haven't been washed in 20 years. They're real good, the one in front a 99%er. Can't say I'm dissatisfied with these either. Anyway, no big deal......."baby steps".

Pulled off the passenger side valve cover and found the #8 intake pushrod with one end ground off and the rocker arm all wollered out. Only a couple hours on my first top-end, I thought for sure I was free and clear and nailed it first try :waah: oh well. Back to the drawing board

Made some progress 3 in front springs and shocks. Now time for the rear. Was made easy with the removed springs had 2 coils cut out by po. Would not recommend that. Gotta change out that last wagon wheel :)

Front looks good for 3" drop, 1 coil isn't bad but 2 coils is to much for the spring, nicer as you did to replace w drop coil..

Got rid of the twisted old 46 year old bumper and installed a brand new one from classicparts. Thankfully I also ordered a new set of bolts cause a couple of them snapped when trying to get them free even after soaking in rust penetrating oil.

Something as simple as lights feel sooo good. Also finished installing rear suspension. Rear wiring harness. 3 5 drop for now. Set timing. Moved it around for the first time. Turn downs due makes things dusty.
