Hey guys...
Newbie here...Recently picked this up for a new toy...'87 GMC..built up 350..700r4 with shift kit/slight stall....rollpan...cowl-hood...blahblah..Future plans are to drop it some more and buy some tires for the rally wheels that I picked up at the local swap meet..shave drip rails..find different mirrors...etc. etc. I was really impressed with how straight the body was, and I have only found one "pencil-eraser" sized spot of rust on the whole truck... I've always wanted on old squarebody, and now I have one....:metal: I've spent the last few days going through the countless threads on here, and I am truly impressed at all of the sweet trucks that are on the board...I have so many ideas right now, that I hope my pocketbook can keep up....---------------------Ed

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

back in the early 80's , living in salty pa., my first gold mod wheels(looked good on a brown truck) rusted bad in two years so i had a company called raceline in Ca. build me a set of alum ones that were powdercoated gold in the center. the first set they sent were wrong pattern. ughhhh. anyway the '.new' aluminum . ones were still on the truck when i sold it 8 years later.

Here is the 85 sierra i just picked up. Anyone know where i can get the clear side fender markers? The orange relfector just doesnt suit the look i want but im having a hard time tracking down all clear lenses. LMC has completely clear with an orange relflector on one end but no all white lenses.

With that smooth front there screaming to be shaved the LMC front markers are "street legal" but I have not seen any totally clear unless ther faded like mine haha.

Until you can track down some of those elusive (spelling<<?) clear side marker lights have you thought about blacking them out with the nite-shades paint you can get at any autoparts store or just thin down some black paint and lay clear over it?
