I saw that, Lugnutz.
She's looking real good, but it looks like your left park light is burned out.

Naw, that conventional is a Pete too. Not sure if it's a 359 or earlier

Here is a picture of my father's 1965 truck in Fairbanks, Alaska, vintage 1968 to 1970. If I remember right that is a Corvette in front to the right, it did not move in the winter. The temperature was probably 30 to 40 degrees below zero during the daytime, colder at night. In the background you can see the ice fog being made by the city coal fired power plant down on the Cheenah River, along w/some home heating furnaces. I think we could burn 500 gals of heating oil in 2-3 week period during cold spells.

Thought pic could make some feel better about cold weather we are facing this week, just think you could be in Fairbanks.

The truck did really well in the cold.

For the Fairbanks crew we lived on Gilmore St., off Airport Road toward the river.

Thanks for sharing! Love the pics with family history. I'm such a pansy when it comes to cold weather. I can't imagine living in those kinda conditions. Definitely puts things into perspective, especially when you think it's cold around here.

Was in the 30's here this am and the old truck fired right up. Really thinking about seat warmers when I do the seat again.

Thanks for sharing the pic and does look like a vette in front of the truck. Cool pic and history.

Hey, there's an old Chevy box truck in the middle-back left of the pick.

Wow. I'm guessing the picture was taken around 1969 (newest car I see is a 69 Olds Cutlass). I only see maybe 4 imports. What a difference 4 decades makes.

Buy American!!!

You are sure right.
Every car on there would be a treat to have in that shape.
The fourth back in the slow lane might be like a '58 or 9 or something Ranchero...kinda like a fairlane pick-up for that model.
Rare..."so ugly she's cute".

Ahhh..... the good ol' days where no one cared if you drank next to your truck.

Yeah, it's kinda funny how we start picking up even the slightest shapes and images of our trucks.

There are 4 60's chevy pickup truck I can see in there and a couple heavy hauler 60's chevys also. Of course the best would be in front right??? Notice the 64-66 chevy in the front really close the the lower edge of the picture! LOL!
