Thanks! My goal would be to find one person that the truck would appeal to and hopefully they will have enough money to buy it! I will remain open minded for now... If they did something really great with the paint, it might change my mind. I gave them some strong suggestions in this area.

We will catch you next time, killer. This was going on about 8 months ago, so it may have flown in under your radar.

Just a question,... Why are they building it the way they want to build it?
Why aren't they building it the way you want it done?

They are paying for it. They will drop 10-30K and numerous labor hours into the truck and I just have to pay the taxes. They asked for my input in the form of a profile sheet and I provided that as well as a spreadsheet detailing how I would do the Truck.

Well, If they do "Pimp" your ride, Lucky for you there's millions of people that like that sort of thing and would love to buy it... So, if it looks like a drug dealer's g-ride, it'd be easy to sell it to a drug dealer for quick cash.... And you know it'll be cash paid. seriously though, i'm sure it'll be nice. Were the Lambo doors your idea? I'm kinda wondering what rims are on it for the radio station people to keep mentioning how cool they were. I'm betting on at least you'll at least be rolling on dubs. Maybe twomp twomps or twa foes. Na meen.

I hope that it has a wide appeal. Cash is good! I knew that regardless of what I would tell them, they were going to go custom with the truck, so fearing a pimped ride, I attempted to lead them down the path of a "rocked" ride and not a "pimped" ride. The picture that I painted for them was more of a muscle truck, tinted windows, black and green two tone with green ghost flames and some nice wheels along the lines of Torque Thrusts and bags were ok. If I told them that I wanted to keep it stock, they would have laughed me out of there as they are a custom shop. Fortunately this truck needed a lot of work, so whatever I do get it out of it will be a huge improvement.

So I see the shop is still working their magic and you are in limbo as to how it is going to turn out. I am eager to see how it ends up for you.

From UrbanDictionary.com:

DUBS: noun- twenty inch rims and only twenty inch rims for anything larger see twankie dueces, dub dueces, or duece dueces. smaller see dub minus dueces "why would you put dubs on a mustang?"

twomps: rims 20 inches or above. " man that Lac on sum serious twomps"

twa foes: No help from Urban Dictionary... My guess is 24's? "Why would you put twa foes on a Classic Suburban?"

na meen: Short for "Know what I mean?" This is pretty lame, na meen?

Learning lingo that I will have to understand in order to converse with individuals that will be admiring my Suburban one day. :)

Just that one that I PM'ed you about awhile back. The guy is using it as a casual work truck(!)I keep seeing this guy around town and offering to buy it. I approached him in Home Depot the other day and offered to trade him my '96 extended cab 4x4 and he raised an eyebrow. I may be wearing him down or he may be ready to call the cops on me for stalking.

I would love to own a 55-59 Chevy/GMC Fleetside or Cameo some day and it drives me crazy to see the '56 primered Cameo running around town. Sometimes I am too determined for my own good...

3rd door lambo'ed? OMG... :puke:

Thats right! Slipped my mind that we talked about that. Ever since my wife and I had our son it seems as though I dont remember things like I used to. Must be the lack of sleep from him getting up all night and then me leaving for work at 4:30 in the morning.

I hope you wear him down. Now if you get that and a 1954 suburban we will have identical truck collections.

I have pics of all three posted on old threads. Don't think they are showing up on the thread pages anymore. When I get to my home computer I will post pics of each of my trucks on this thread if you don't mind.

the kid in that "donker" pic, looks exactly like my neighbors kid next door. wow. Dresses like that too, minus the gigantic "i'm dumb" belt buckle.... i thought you had to earn those buckles by roping cattle or branding yourself? haha. I don't know, trends these days are hilarious.
