Do you have the floater hub coming through the rear wheels?if so how well did the rear caps fit over?

Before I lowered my 68 C20 it had white wheels with hubcaps and trim rings.

http://i1318.photobucket.com/albums/...psgnq2iam6.jpg

I removed the hubcaps and painted the wheels green. Left the trim rings on.

Are you talking about some kind of 1/4" tire spacer that mounts to old wheels?

I really like the look of factory white steel wheels with hubcaps, but there are very few good choices in 16.5" sizes these days. I cut out the centers from some 16.5" factory wheels and figured out how to mount them to a 17" hoop...

Now I've got a lot of modern tire choices, but with the "look" of a stock wheel.

Your lug nuts are either 1/2" (drum brakes before 1971) or 9/16" (disc brakes 1971 and later). The correct nuts are commonly called dual thread lug nuts and are available on eBay as well as other sources.

That looks like the beginnings of a sweet truck.
I gotta ask, did you recently buy it?
Seem to recall one similar on cl a while ago.

Anyway these accuride wheels are going on my
71 with some 245 70 16 bfg at's when I find some scew in valve stems.
Thanks too some local board members I also have a full set of oe 16x6" rims also. I wouldn't mind finding a set of firestone transforce tires for them (tall and skinnys)
