Heres how we do it on the west coast of Canada. Me and my kids (now 3&5) have been working on it for the last 3 years. All the work has been done by us in our garage except the pinstriping (thanks matt). it runs a tpi smallblock with a built 700r. 05 avalanche seats, full air ride with copper hard lines. the kids picked out the honda beach blue and the roof is flaked with chunky bass boat silver(that was a lot of fun to spray we still have it through-out the house) we take it camping and drive it a ton during the summer. hope you guys like checking it out.:metal:

i got some more pics for you guys but im new to the computer world and still working things out. here is a shot of my step in the back, i am still running the stock trailing arms but fabed up some blocks with longer u-bolts. i had to flatten the crossmember so the back would sit flat. the front has air ride strong arms and bell tech spindles . ( it looks like you got your front down real nice already) i would like to get a dropmember for the front this winter and go rack and pinion just to get that final two inch drop. more pics to come soon:metal:

Re: Let's see some Burbans!

very similar to my plans. Originally (2002) the plan was to go two-tone HoK orion silver top w/ HoK true Blue pearl from their Shimrin line w/ Orion Silver below the lower trim. Current plans may be to switch to a lower cost paint system since the burb is so huge and will take a ton of paint. HoK may be the best but it aint cheap. I found a blue that was used in the 1990 ZR1 vette's line-up that's close. Also kicking around "Electron Blue" which is the OEM color most recently linked to Escalade and Denali models.

Definately blue silver two-tone though.

Re: Let's see some Burbans!

I hear ya on the cost of paint, the kids first picked out a tri coat but i had to shut them down as it meant another gallon of clear. these burbs are freakin huge when it comes to painting, i did the flake first then sanded it flat then the blue and final clear took 8 hrs non-stop(except a short beer break) to spray, i had blisters from my gun.whole lot o fun thou.

Re: Let's see some Burbans!

hey 72sub, just wondering if you used the tahoe seats or the crew cab truck rear seats. just got done putting the same set in mine. I useed the crew cab seats, it was a pain to cut out enough of the seat brackets to get the second row far enough back.

72 sub 12-04-2007 11:46 PM

Re: Let's see some Burbans!

The seats were out of a Avalanche, im not sure but i think they are the same as the crew cab ones. They to needed lots of cutting to get them to fit but i had my top fabrication team on them.(my 5 year old son and 4 year old daughter). We bent up some 3/4 pipe like an L and notched the ends, welded it to the existing framework then cut out the stuff in the way. the only thing that kind of sucks is i had to weld it solid so it will not fold flat, the bottoms still lift up though

salvageit 12-06-2007 01:09 AM

Re: Let's see some Burbans!

I kept mine so they would still fold down, I had to cut a little out of the floor in the burb and most of the hinges on the seats. Almost ruined the seats in the process.
