There's been some good ;looking trucks posted, but I've not gotten an alert in forever. I'll post some updates in a bit with hopes of helping to get the thread hopping again. If you've posted your truck on here before, post some updates!

Here is mine. 1971 with a 69-70 grill. 3-5 spring drop. 20x8.5 Streeter Showwheels with 245/45/20 tires. 350 with TBI injection and a 700R4 Trans from an '87 donor. 3:08 gears.

What it looked like when I bought it. And then currently, (two years later). Fourth pic is the restored van tilt column and a restored '68 steering wheel. The last pic is the latest update to my Inst. cluster.

Thanks Bugz, and yep,...I've been spending some time on it and $ when both are available..lol.
I think I'm most satisfied to have Finally gotten that cam swap done. That solid pecker cam was driving me nuts. Getting my sound system, tires and actually finding those bedrails was a relief to accomplish also.
My next goal is to get a cowl hood on him and paint it to match for now until we decide on a color, but I'm gonna either have my engine rebuilt or get a crate motor from Chevy Performance before worrying about the body.
Thanks again, and I'll try to jump on here a little more often. I'm still not getting email alerts like I should when someone posts on this thread, and I double checked to make sure I was still subscribed. But anyway...

Here's a couple more:

Thanks GM, but honestly the diamond plate is just a cover up until I can devote some real time into the bed. However, it did turn out a little better than I anticipated..lol.

I really like before and after pics, and I can tell you've put a Lot of TLC into yours, and you're doing an excellent job with a proper restoration.
It seems we have something in common, because my truck was in about in the same shape when I had mine towed home. I really like the style and direction you've taken.

It's also very easy for a thread to get lost because of so many posts that are tossed up every day. There's another Stepside pic thread going, but I and a few others refuse to let this one get buried for too long. So many bad a$$ trucks have been posted here.
I miss some of the original or regular participants that I've not heard from in a while, though. :waah:

DGWill for one, has a VERY nice '68 and would love to hear from him and several others, but Bugz is a regular and I'm very glad to still see him around,..and his truck. His knowledge and his '70 is one of my mentors..lol.

Let's continue to keep the thread going the best we can. Keep the pics rolling! :metal:

I like the look of the rear tail and back up lights on your truck, as well as the tailgate chains. I do not have those items on mine yet (tail lights are just aftermarket stuff). I had not planned on adding these factory items but the more I get into these trucks the more I like the look of the original equipment.

Again, Great looking truck!

Thanks, from the glove box it is called Olive Green.

I'm usually a big fan of how our older cars/trucks look and never really feel the need to modify exterior things. There is a certain utilitarian feel to the lights and chains of a stepper. No handles to break or rust shut.

Very very nice trucks! Here is my 70 model right after I got it and then what it looks like now, work in progress. Going with a white top and red on the rest. Plan on using bed liner under the hood, on the firewall, and on the bottom sides of the rear ans front inner fenders, any suggestion or opinions? Thanks.....

Can't figure out how to put multiple pics in one post so here is a pic of current progress. Should have the cab painted this weekend b
Still wondering about the bed liner under hood and firewall. Guess I better make up my mind soon!

Here's my latest,
67, Originally a SWB, but currently sporting a stepside. She will be taken back to her roots, full on 67 front and rear, and I may even leave the stepside bed (with 67 fenders) on. I am calling her project Park Service for now till she gets a proper name..

Here she is the day i brought her home and tucked her away for future fun..

VERY nice truck, SpeedShop! What suspension are you going with? 4.5/6?
