I would say use the arms, and get round mirror heads for them.

I dig the build. Keep up the good work.

lol...

i think it looks kinda cool on there. just like peeps hanging from the door edge, just with a little flavor! all i would need to do is drill a small 3/8" hole and thread it from the backside. i wish i could get it stay on so i can stand back and take a pic..

I think they would work above your vent window better, but it's not my truck ;)

No offense, I just think they'd look better on a bike. Otherwise, I really enjoy reading your thread and the work you've done is great!...Keep it up!:metal:

^^^ thanks for checking out the build.

i posted up a poll just to see what everyone thinks. im kinda on the fence here, but if i would use them i would spray them gloss black and probably hang them on the door frame edge just in front of the vent window.

Kev, according to the rest of your build I think whatever you decide to do will be in the right direction.:metal:

lol, appreciate it!

after looking over them, and my poll...i dont think im gonna use them. i know everyone says its your truck, do what you want. but, in the end, its the positive comments that usually make or break an idea. plus, i was on the fence with them to begin with!

look what happened today, motor fell out of my truck! ;)

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

first time pulling a motor and it really wasnt that hard! i was surprised that the transmission just hit the floor..? i thought it was supposed to just stay where it should be..i got it held by a wire now to keep it off the floor..

now im going to get to work on sanding down the firewall, primer, and MAYBE paint it.

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

might want to check the trans to see if anything broke off, that happened to me when mine fell off the jack while putting it in :waah:

kev2809 06-19-2011 06:40 PM

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

mine was never on a jack lol

it stayed put, but once i started rolling it back in the garage, i heard it land on the floor i guess. the only thing i can tell its that the bracket linkage that goes to the steering column came off, but i dont think it broke.

lol...it was in the plans. but i had trouble getting good welds with the hobart 110 i was using when i welded the axle brackets in the back. made me a little nervous to z the front...

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

I know you can find someone local that can do the welding. When my front end comes apart here soon it's on baby!! Lol

good idea on the welding, maybe i could cut it, set it up and tack it and find someone to weld it back up.

i have a few weeks to figure it out i guess, my time frames are always off so it might be longer lol

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

seems like there would more shaved up inside the trans tunnel..couldnt i weld up the oil line hole too..? maybe run it through the floor or something...not sure.

give some feedback plz..i would like to get this thing primed up this week then start the body work!

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

i RAN EVERYTHING i COULD THREW THE TRANS TUNNEL...

jbclassix 06-27-2011 10:46 PM

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

I would shave the wiring harness hole, wiper, and oil pressure line. It would be real easy to modify them and run them through the tunnel out of sight!

kev2809 06-27-2011 11:01 PM

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

ditto, i think the wiper hole and oil line hole are gone by tomorrow night!

i was trying to take off the fuse block to try to figure something out, but i couldnt even get it off! i think i may leave it though, because the wiring hole next to it has all my air lines and switchbox wiring...but i guess i could reroute that too....hmmmmmm

Do it now or you will be kickin yourself in the butt later when you wished you would have done it when you had the chance..
