Nice looking pair. I also own a 1971 2 wd Jimmy and a 1972 4x4 Blazer. Love driving both of them. Best of both worlds. You can't beat driving them with the top off. But for now they wait patently in the garage for warmer weather.

Re: How about some pics of 69-72 Blazers and Jimmys.
Took Dad's old Jimmy to my first 4X4 Car Show in September (the RTI pics didnt come out good as Dad wasnt feeling good, and operating the camera with what we found out at the ER that afternoon was full flown appendicitis). This 71 Blazer rolled in midday, survivor/original other than a repaint in the 80's I think he said. Owner recognized my truck, turns out he used to race a white 72 "The White Whale" in the 70's alongside Dad in my Jimmy. The black Willy's is Dad's current offroader.

Looks like an LS swap is in my future. |

Re: How about some pics of 69-72 Blazers and Jimmys.
Just picked this one up, it's a 1972 Blazer 2wd with a 383/350th. I would like to air bag it and find some nice 20" wheels. I've never bagged anything before so it should be interesting. I'm not worried about it laying body or frame I just want to be able to adjust ride height.:chevy:

I just finished restoring a '72 Blazer for my 16 year old son for his first car! I turned the keys over to him about a month ago and he is loving his new ride! We bought this together about a year and an half ago, intending for a father / son project, but, it turned out to be a "hurry up and get it done, Dad!" project. Nonetheless, it has been fun. This was my first Chevy project and I’ve been pleasantly surprised how easy it is to get parts. From the standard 350 engine components at the local auto store, to the internet sites for everything else (body panels, dash, A/C, etc.). I did all the body work (rebuilt rocker-box, floor pans, and patched some quarter panels), painted it in my garage, and a buddy helped me with new upholstery. The entire interior is lined with Al’s liner, added interior side panels (also covered with Al’s), customized a ’73 roll-bar and added three-point seats belts, craiglisted some old-school rims, and added 33” tires.
I learned a lot and this site has helped me tremendously and can't thank you all enough! |

Not mine - and apologies for the poor pic quality (phone pics) - this was parked out in front of a friends body shop today, it's going to get some rocker panel and other body work repair.
