The toughest part isn't finding pictures. It's remembering which ones were already posted!

And a few TF's. The first photo was taken during a surface inspection before the asphalt was put down at Daytona.

Glad it's been so well received. I had no idea it would go so long when I started it.

Martin Sr's pic of Krajack tank lines,
Man this picture brings back memory's of my Dad, he worked for a Mobil service station back in the early 50-60's and drove a truck like this one with a Gas tanker trailer on the back, he was delivering gas to a station in Wickenburg Az back in the day and was headed
out on Grand ave, the major highway thru town, The truck was not running right for some reason and my Dad pulled over on the road to work on it, he left the truck running and crawled underneath to fix something ?? not sure what to this day, he had a Nylon windbreaker jacket on at the time and got to close with his right arm to the PTO (Power take off) and the end of the PTO caught his jacket and twisted on his arm and wrapped him pulling him and his arm up, Thank God the truck was running bad because it stopped running and there my dad was on the side of the road hanging from the trans
it was late in the evening and no one stopped to help him, he managed to work his jacket off his left arm and finally got himself free after close to 2hr's stuck there.I remember him coming home with a Horrible Nylon burn on his arm from being twisted up. left a burn mark all along his arm, He was very lucky tho to still have that arm!

Did anyone notice that on that dual-engine dragster they're running the blower in reverse?

Good eye! You're right, but they're not! The Detroit Diesel blowers are driven off the back of the engine. Guys wanting to run a big Detroit blower had to get creative.

This is a 471 from "back in the day."
