Now that's a cool work truck.

I also have a fondness in my heart for that 972K...I was the test engineer on those at the Cat proving grounds for 5 years. :metal:

I'm the laughing stock on the D7E/SS line /bldg. When we got a ppg tour I buried a D8, had to get pushed out by a D7E!!! LOL!

newbraunie inspired me....
I hauled my out-of-shape butt out to a trail, to go on a bike ride.

After the ride, I found this trashed awning dumped by deadbeat neighbor. It was nice to just throw in the back without having to worry about scratching the truck. LOL

And then disassembled for salvage.

(Don't look at the OSHA non-compliant ramps)

It's nice to be able to just throw whatever in the bed, not worry about scratching anything.
Paid for an aluminum C-channel to make a new mailbox post. Grabbed some flat stones from a creek nearby, and picked up some debris, can salvage the steel.

I used my truck up until I got a 05 Yukon this summer to be easier on her. The brick in the back weighed more then my Honda... I love that truck.

Trucks are meant for work (IMO)!

I hope to have mine running and loaded down with 2x6's by this summer.

This was a bit too much, especially with the longer drive. ~1080lbs. Bout 1" from a notched frame's bumpstops.

Today was the Super A's turn to come to new home. 45 MPH with 4 ways on. It's only 15 minutes to the new place, so I played it safe with drum brakes and home made trailer. but all went well..

Hamjet what do you figure that tractor weighs? I'll bet it's actually pretty heavy 4000lbs perhaps?

I'm guessing with the rear wheel weights and blade maybe 3500 lbs?
