I am not able to get a good shipping quote for this, everything is coming back too expensive for me. Did you have any luck on this?

I would really like to keep the door panels together if at all possible, what kind of value are you putting on these parts? I haven't tore a suburban down to the point of pulling out the harness like you are asking before, might be a bit of a learning curve on some of that :)

What kind of parts do you have that you would want to trade?

Hi Frank,
The wiring harness is pretty easy from what I remember. Remove steering column. Remove the screws across the top of the dash(5 or 6 I think). Remove the 2 bolts on the bottom sides of the dash so that the dash will now swing down on your lap. It is now very easy to unplug at convienence center. Across the bottom of the windshield, there are clips spotwelded to the firewall. Bend them down slightly to remove the harness. In the door jamb, pull on the rubber boot to remove it from either the door or the jamb, pull wire from the jamb towards the door & unplug.

As far as the doorpanels go, I really only need the drivers side. The other 3 are just added weight. I have 95+ door panels for the rear already and the pass front I have 5 or 6 of them laying around.

How much do you want for the set of 4 door panels and how much do you want for the harness?

You can call me on my cell phone if you want... (856)294-7535

Thanks...
Joe

Re: '92 Gmc Suburban

Do you happen to have a pair of these center caps on it? I realize yours will say "GMC" on them instead of the bowtie, I don't care.

http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/chevy/cap.jpg

If so, how much for the pair and the plactics "lug nuts" shipped to 56754?

Also, how about the instrument cluster?

Also, how much for the cup holder panel shown in this pic? http://picasaweb.google.com/thefrank...14971304064946

Re: '92 Gmc Suburban

Hey Darrin,

No center caps on this guy, I couldnt tell you how many sets of steel wheels i have, but no lug nut covers or center caps :( The instrument cluster worked, it has 197XXX miles on it, no tach. Cup holder I would take 25 shipped for.

I can tell you that the cluster will not work in your '90 model with out some changes made to your harness.

Re: '92 Gmc Suburban

Yeah, I know. I've got the page from the other site that tells how to adapt the harness and DRAC to make it work. If I was to buy the instrument panel from you, what would you charge for the panel, connector, and the DRAC?

And yes, I'm interested in the cupholder panel. Might have to wait until next payday to gather the funds for both as this time around was land taxes time.

$5.21 left in the bank account. :(

Re: '92 Gmc Suburban

For the cluster DRAC and connector pigtail, i would charge 60+shipping.

Let me know if you want, i can hold them for however long you need me to.

Thanks,

Frank

Re: '92 Gmc Suburban

Man, I'm beginning to spend quite a bit on here. I now owe somebody for a hood, and you for the gauge panel and cup holder. I've got to get some money together and get you folks paid!!

And yes, I'm interested in the parts. I just cannot promise how soon I'll have the money. I've been trying to pay for the hood for over a month now. :(

Re: '92 Gmc Suburban

No problem, I don't care to hold on to them for you, just let me know when you are ready :)

if the burb has barn doors, I am in need of the 'stay' that keeps it open for the right (passenger) barn door. If you have it, give me a total to 19901-thank you.

Re: '92 Gmc Suburban

I'm wondering if there's enough left of your suburban to make it into a four door cab? like the shell and all the doors? or did you already sell the doors? and where in NW Arkansas are you? Thanks.

You may want to PM Josh or Liz about this and see if they have his phone number. I see he hasn't been on the board in almost 2 months!.
