This is my 67', but the shell is only on there to keep the rain off of the wood bed.

Wouldn't put one on anything I own but here's a "Zimmer" camper top on a parts truck I had recently. It's the extra tall great grampa style I think.
It since has met it's fate with the business end of my sawzall but did save the glass and just sold the window crank handles on ebay for $5.99  The rest is in a pile waiting for a ride to the scrap yard. |

There is a white 69 that runs a 70's style one in my area. It actually looks good on that truck but personally I'm not a big fan of them. I have to say that the one on Nightmare's truck is changing my mind. I wouldn't hesitate to put one on a 4x4 truck.

My "custom" camper. The entire sides open upwards. Not sure what year it is for, it doesn't quite fit.

Softopper. The proper one is the late model Ford size. The new chevy has a shorter cab height. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1400987847

And we won two best of shows at Hot August Nights (Peppermill and Atlantis) and won the autocross truck category at Goodguys Phoenix with a topper on it!

I just purchased this 1972 Cheyenne C10 Custom Camper.
I've never seen a C10 ordered as a Custom Camper. It was a one owner stored for years. Everything is original, including the tires. The canopy has never been removed. The wood bed is like new. |

Sagebrushsurfer, I love the truck. I would appreciate more pictures.

As for C10s as Custom Campers, no, they're not common as most associated camper-duty with 3/4 ton or above, but you could order them. Below is a nice one I just saw at the Fort Worth Goodguys show a few months ago. REALLY like your truck! Original tach and AM/FM truck. Unfortunately, per your SPID, it would appear as though someone added the Custom Camper scripts to your truck, it's not a Custom Camper - no Z81 on the SPID. DF2 mirrors does not mean it's a Custom Camper. Placement of your Custom Camper scripts is correct (for a 72, below is where 69-71 had the nameplate), but a truck would only leave the factory as a Custom Camper if Z81 were on the SPID. |

Here is one of my sister and I in about 78-79 the canopy on the truck was built locally . Spent a lot of time in it back in the day . Traveled all over the northwest in it |
