I started rebuilding a tripower setup I bought for it a year or two ago. Here's some progress...

End carbs are done.

I still need to paint the intake manifold (it's in primer now). This is what they all started out like.

Re: Knomadd's '65 GTO (Royal Goat)

If any of you come across a factory GTO hood for sale from a 65-67, like the pictures on the first page, would you let me know? I'm looking for a spare. It doesn't have to be in excellent shape, but not a lot of rust or major damage. I'd rather do factory vs. these repop garbage so I won't have a ton of extra work to get it to fit, but if anyone knows of a good repop, I'll consider it too.

Thanks,

Just in case any of you are curious, I'm still making changes to the GTO. Bought a new set of Dakota Digital VHX gauges in black alloy face.

Also started the tri-power install...

I'll have to take a look at your looong version when I've got time at home. I've read the first 8 or so posts and it sounds like a cool story. Thanks for sharing!

Got the Tripower installed and operational. :bann: Took it to work this afternoon. I'm trying to get a good video to post. Until then, sorry but no pics either. The camera and memory card are at home. :dohh:

I was playing with MS Paint today and tried to put the future wheels on the GTO to get a better idea of how it would look. This is the result, probably not very accurate, but fairly close. What do you think?

I like it.. Always have been a fan of split spoke styled wheels..

Re: Knomadd's '65 GTO (Royal Goat)

Well, I changed my mind and went with a different wheel. Travis with azproperformance.com helped me with all my measurements and ordering the wheels. Placed the order this morning for these:
http://www.mhtwheels.com/cms_images/...-MILNER700.png

18x8's up front and 18x9's out back. I like the style and overall look a lot. Plus, I think they'll hold up over time without getting dated so fast as the Foose Knuckle's I was going to get. They're cheaper than the Foose wheels too. I was able to save enough to buy one for a spare!

Thanks Ryan! I think they'll look great!

Travis just sent me tracking info, and it looks like they will be here Friday. :metal: Now if I can get tires in by this weekend, I'll be set!

Going to get tires mounted this afternoon. If the rain holds off, I'll get them mounted up this evening. If not, tomorrow will have to do.

Bad car man! I love 3 deuce set ups! I think the wheel change looks much better, that's the only change it needed. Sweet ride man!

Car looks sweet! It is amazing how wheels can change the complete look of a car (or truck). Might have to steal some of these photos for our gallery.... if you don't mind.
