As a non-engine person (prefer to buy rather than build, although that's not cast in stone either), i choose my intakes based on weight or price; The lighter the better, but if i already have a cast iron intake, i'll tend to use that.

Must also be dual plane.


As far as cams, i will take low end torque over hi rpm power anyday. i've driven enough cars radical cams that don't idle well or perform well at low rpm and want no part of them.

I have tried everything from the big lift radical solid cams to the very conservative Comp268 grind. I came to this conclusion...

If I wanted a smooth idling, "user friendly driving" car I would drive a Cadillac or Honda Accord. When I build one its gonna be load and obnoxious... if its not... it has to come out. Just as I'm doing right now. When I pull up in my truck I want to see the "WTF" expression on faces.... :lol:
