the shaft is collapsible, just drill out the 4 plastic spot fillers, and lube the heck out the shaft and hit it with a mini sledge and vola:

picked up a '71 roller chassis yesterday. with a 283 and trans i'm going to sell. plan on building this frame then swapping everything over.
just basically going to use the frame and rear suspension off this one.

Re: 1972 Chevy C10 "OrngsikL"

Was told this was a 71, with a 283.
Found out last night that the engine on the frame was a 307, not a 283. I think the frame is a 70.

found a buyer for it too, should be coming get it this evening.

Good luck with the hurricane, I pray that it blows right on by without incident.

Good luck with your build, looks like you got it all planned out. I like the shortened steering column.

Re: 1972 Chevy C10 "OrngsikL"

We did fine through the hurricane. The 4-link for the rear came in.
I sandblasted the upper control arms and por-15 coated them. Came out pretty nice.
Now I just got to find a day to decide to pull the rear end out and slap it under this frame and start on the 4-link. I like driving the truck too much to tear it down yet, haha.
