look closely, you can see its missing 3 of the 4 aluminum vertical pieces, might not be worth fooling with, but Ive had several people ask about a factory bare aluminum one, apparently all the ones avail to purchase now are black aluminum I dont know if this one is factory or not I have one in my sons 77 stepside, that came out of a 82 that my uncle bought new, and it looks very different from this one. it has a 1/2 inch extension on the inside and all the glass sticks out twards the outside. |

I should have bought a parts truck last year, we just swapped in a NV 3500 5 speed from a 2006 Silverado into the 77 stepside and converted the clutch to hydrualic, and the clutch pedal pivot was so worn out and egg shaped that it couldnt be reused, so we wound up finding a brake pedal, which is a mirror image of the clutch pedal at the top pivot, and cutting the lower 1/3 off, flipping it over, and bolting the bottom half of the old clutch pedal to it, this worked out fine and I wish I had put some more thought into it and made the pedal adjustable between the 2 sections, so I could adjust the pedal height , which we did, but only by drilling a new hole, |
Re: parting out 79 K-10
Has the dash been cut out for an aftermarket radio? I want to put a factory radio in my truck and I need a patch panel to weld into my dash where the radio goes. If you could cut that section out of the dash for me that would be great.

Re: parting out 79 K-10
will get shipping quotes as soon as I can,
think Ive replied to all the PMs, I have a regular 40 hr job, and its another rainy night in Georgia I will get your parts out soon as I can. Honestly I didnt expect as many responses, figured most of this rig besides the axles and Tcase was going to the crusher, even got someone that wants the back cab wall and back end of the bed and tailgate I just wish Id bought a parts truck last year, before I bought a new wiper motor & switch, new speedo cable, another gauge cluster, new door hinges, new window regulators, new clutch pedal assembly, new sliding back window, used drive shafts, used door panels and dash, new spindles and lockouts, etc etc live and learn. |
