Sounds good. Glad you got the engine thing figured out.

It's nice to be able to drive it again eve if it's in a limited fashon.

Been able to drive it around all weekend, it's shifting itself into third somehow, and the air intake was rubbing on the idler making me think it was blowing up lol.

Still a ways to go, but not nearly as far as before, runs great!

Finished up my Avalanche seat install, not really worth it, but whatever. It's in and it doesn't smell like cat pee.

In the seat photo you can see how high my gas pedal sits. I used an Animal Speed shop bracket. My thought process was, if I use a bracket, I can then use any one of five million junkyard pedals in the future if I need one with no mods.

I could have modified a stock DBW pedal, or used a OBS diesel pedal, I'm aware of both options, but I chose this, which was a mistake.

As you can see, it set's the pedal up higher than the brake pedal, so you have to hold your whole foot up off the floor to use the pedal. Super uncomfortable.

I contacted them, via several methods, heard back on Facebook, they requested pics. It only builds one way, I wasted about an hour making sure of that. I sent the pics, never heard from them again, that was 4 days ago. This is after a 2 week delay in shipping it to me to begin with.

The only conclusion I can come to is either they sent me the wrong part, or they never installed their bracket in a square before marketing it.

I wound up cutting the pedal portion off, and splicing a 4" section of plate steel into it to push the pedal back somewhat. It's better, but it still sucks. Highly don't recommend.

I was able to do a bit of a drive, but only a few miles, holding my foot up like that cramped the hell out of my leg.

I have no lockup on my 4L80E to figure out as well, but there's always bugs, I'll get there.

Just chipping away at little things, swapped to a diesel pedal and got rid of the horrible Animals Speed shop bracket.

I think I might buy a topper for it.

Man, you're kicking butt. I've had my truck twice as long and am half way as far as you are with it.

I love this thing.

I've had it for years lol, so don't get too discouraged.

I have more or less hit a wall with it for the year, I do everything out in the driveway, so it's all about to come to an end. On the bright side, I should be able to daily it come spring.

Haha, I'm trying not to! I wanted to have mine running by May of this year... now its just have it running and take it on one test drive in 2019. I'm also working out of my driveway and where I am in Maine, winter comes early (much like Michigan I'm sure) - so I am already planning contingencies - like one of those pop up shelters with some 7mm plastic hung from the sides to create like a 3 sided warming hut so I can keep working, haha!

Still, this truck is rad. Cool to see it come together!

If you can stay out of the wind, you're way ahead of the game for sure :metal:

I feel your pain. All my work is done in the driveway. The wind is a killer. The darkness is worse then the cold. Hard to do anything when you can't see. My eyes don't work as good as they used to.
