That interior is a NO GO for sure! And the steering wheel, a 40 Ford, really? The dash is pretty cool though.

It cracks me up how similar our lives look Mr48. I know my mom lost my twin brother during her pregnancy, maybe she didn't and they gave him off at birth and didn't tell her?

My chop got a little more complicated this time. I replaced the cab around 1995 because of the stupid crap I had done to it. Anyway, this top I lengthened the roof half way and then raked the windshield pillars the other half to give it a more "factory" look.

I like your newly done cab Brian.
looks like it could or should have been original.
I also am not a fan of chopped raked 73-87. even though it was cool in the 80s

Raking, lengthening, what ever, it works. It's just a different look. I like it either way, depending on the truck and the theme of it, how it looks in the big picture. :metal:

I just went with what I did because my chop was to look like it WAS done by GM. The theme is a GM Motorama "Concept car" Corvette/pickup, the first "Cameo" if you will. So with that them I thought that look was the best.

Sometimes finding your old ride years after you sold it can be a real let down. I saw my buddie's old Model A roadster at a show a few years ago 20 years after he sold it and someone had put goofy 20 inch wheels on it and had what had been a cool little full fendered roadster jacked up like a Donk to clear the ugly wheels.

Wonder if chopping helps with wind resistance. Was driving N 101 against 40 - 60 MPH+ and gusts about stalled my unchopped 4x4.

Why would anyone want to put one of those ugly visors on any truck let alone a chopped truck.

They were never a thing on cars or trucks around here when the vehicles were new.

The slant chop on mine that it isn't getting on the new cab because it creates too much work fitting things does/did make a big difference with the wind and you don't have the wind buffeting in the cab like one that isn't chopped.
The air slides around rather than in the windows. It actually didn't get enough air in though the windows when it was hot at low speeds.

Even when the truck was subframed and sitting real low it still moved around in those winds a bit, not as bad as before I chopped it and still had the I beam but I did the chop and subframe all in 1980 then drove it to Texas in 1981 and Utah in 1982.

I don't think it would make much difference on a raised 4x4 that was as light as yours should be. Well under 4000 lbs the wind is going to push you around some.
