Damn I love this Truck! Hey I was wondering where could I get side mirrors like that. I like the size of them. And how they come off the side. Thanks for posting!

They are actually just repro stock mirrors bolted into the upper arm of the "west coast" style mirrors that were on it when I got it. Here's a shot of the truck the day I got it and a close up of the modded mirrors (I call 'em farm peeps).

it was originally a work truck for a painting company here in southern idaho, i started swapping out parts for a more rust free appearance but throwing the original tin back on, hell with it, its not rust, its character

I guess I could share mine. Original black 61 Burb. Spent it's whole life in the high country sun in Wyoming. I don't usually care much for patina, but mine has really grown on me.

Wow, deluxe trim, chrome grille and a hood bird. Talk about cool.

Re: 60-66 Patina's or O.G. Painted Truck Pics

Thanks markeb01! It has a lot of things that make me wish I had more production info on these Burbs. I have a feeling it is fairly rare when you break it all down. You noticed the hood bird, it is the "stub nose" on a 62+ hood. Custom trim, V6, 3 row, factory black, tons of cool on it. I can not find a reason one to say that anything has been altered on the truck other than that "bumper" which is already changed out, and the seats which were changed to Cutlass fronts and the rears were ditched in lieu of storage space. I found it on CL out here and had to have that one. I am trying to get it running & driving for next summer.

Actually not a whole lot of patina on my interior or dash but it did come with the obligatory stickers! :metal: I keep thinking I'll scrape off the little horny devil but it adds character to the dash

If it's a 4X4, is it still considered "patina"....or is it called " faded, old and sure does need paint "...?

BTW.....The ol' '63 looks especially sweet when parked in a field full of posies.....don't it..........?

OG - Original Gangster - ie, a survivor, i like to call them Hoodrides, but that is a term from the Aircooled VW scene. A hoodride looks like a rustbucket on the outside, is slammed, and generally pretty clean under the hood and in the suspension.
