Truck looks great man. That green is nice!

I have one of those Preval spayers here at my hardware store. I don't sell them very often. You may check with any Ace Hardware. If they don't have it they can order it. May also check at a hobby store.

Gorgeous color! Where do you buy the Preval stuff?

Thanks! I got it at a local art supply store here in Santa Fe. I've also seen them in Napa Auto Parts stores.

Hey homes! Time is hard to come by, so is money. I do what I can, when I can.

This weekend I did a little more work to the '73. I cleaned and installed a used Edelbrock carb I picked up for it. Runs great! No more hesitation...:metal:

Then I went to the junkyard and got the parts I need to assemble the driver's side door panel. I also installed my 'new' seat and budget seat cover. :ito:

I was going to wait to put the seat in until I got the carpet in, but after installing the carburetor, I was too excited to drive it...I had to put the seat in.:chevy:

To me, nothing beats a good running quadrajet...but to find one is another story.

I like Edelbrocks because they are simple to work with. You can take them apart, clean them out and get them back together in no time. A q-jet on the other hand, you need a degree to figure them out!

Looks great! How did the Preval sprayer work? Did it lay down nicely? Did you mix the paint like you normally would? How many cartridges did you buy? How many canisters did it take to spray the whole interior? Are you going to paint the exterior eventually? Will you use the same method? I know, a lot of questions...

Thanks! The sprayer worked great. The paint laid down nicely. I mixed the paint normal. It took three canisters and three containers to do the interior. The cartridges are design to spray 16 ounces, which is the size of the jar. I plan on doing the exterior that same green and white in the original 2-tone scheme. I will do that with a regular gun. Did I answer everything?? :)

The Preval painted it nice! I have one here at the hardware store that I work at that is an Ace brand, but it works kind of the same. It has a bigger container, and spray propellent. Haven't used them, but after seeing the results you got with it I may give is a shot.

Give it a go! Nothing like the feeling of doing it yourself. I recommend it...

I'm not sure of the code off hand, but it's Kirker brand and the name of the color is "Sour Apple Metallic".....I believe...

also after talking to my uncle today he said that he's getting another motor and told me to get it and build that so I can still drive my truck he told me it was a 350 with a steel crank in it I want to build a 383 stroker motor for it so i think i got a donor block now to do it hehehehe. also thinking of putting a 4 speed on the floor and get away from the 3 on the tree not sure yet. funny thing is he just pulled the tranny out of his 66 chevy II and put a Muncy in it so i might grab his old tranny not sure yet.

Thanks! The LMC stuff works okay...it's cheap and you get what you pay for. The headlight bezels are plastic they look good though. I also replaced the grille surround trim with LMC stuff. They are a pieces are a bit short. They don't tuck under the headlight bezels too good. Probably not acceptable for a lot of guys. I'm building this truck as a semi-cool driver...not for shows. For that, the LMC stuff is fine.

Finally, a little more progress.

Yesterday, my lady and I covered the headliner pad.:metal:

Maybe this evening we'll put it up and get the rest of the interior trim in.:ito:
