You may already know but the 5.9 Cummins pans will bolt on either way. My engine had that same front sump pan. I just bought a rear sump pickup tube and spun the pan around and bolted it up. I can't remember what the application for the pickup tube was but it is deeper than a Dodge pan.

Your build is looking good.

If you could find out that information it would be appreciated......some good information.

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

i ordered some cab mounts from energy suspension yesterday hopeing they will work being the cab is an 80 and the frame is an 85 may just require some shimming to sit right but it has the 85 mounts under it now only difference ive found so far is the center mount has a stud coming out of the cab instead of bolting it up into the cab

Looking GREAT man!!! Almost went with a Cummins swap in my project but decided I would just go overboard on hot rodding it like I did my '07 Ram 3500 & really didn't need that much power... Look forward to seeing more pics of yours as you get more done! Check out the pics of my '77 crew cab project on here when you can.

That looks sweet! Are you going to add another piece at the top by the fender? That will be cool when you're done.

yes theres five more peices to cut to go along the top of the bumper yet hopefully have the bumper all finished up by mid next week, then start on the rear...

yeah i was just getting impatient waiting for the guy that actually builds them in town to do it so i figured for what it costs in materials i would give it a shot, and so far im happy with it.....just waiting for my hitch so i can start building the rear...

Looks nice. I am building one, as time permits, for my 95 F-350. I went over board and used 1/4" thick steel. So I know how you will feel when you go to remove and install your bumper.

Are you using blueprints for the bumpers or just figuring it out as you go? I would like to build something like this but have no clue where to start....

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

no im not using prints i just sketched a drawing on paper then made mounts onto the frame with 1x3 flat bar and built around it peice by peice with 10 gauge sheet steel...the corners of the bumper i just cut cardboard and taped it together in the shape i wanted, the pulled it off all as one which was about 5 peices, traced it onto the steel and cut it out then bent it all to shape... its not all that hard really and kinda fun...this is my first one. Im starting the rear next week

Your doing a great job on it for sure. What are you planning for the steering, going with cross-over or???
